What's your favorite Silent Hill Game? 👻

9:16 yo mom callin you

There's something about the Silent Hill series that no matter how many hour long essays I listen to about them it just doesn't get old.

"The music in this part is amazing."
REEEEEERRRRRRRRRREERRRRR

I never heard that Yamaoka composed the soundtrack and asked NOT to see any visuals. His music could not be more perfect

What's funny about Dhalia as a character is she is basically trolling Harry/The Player the entire game. Every bit of dialog from her up until she reveals her true nature is her calling Harry an idiot by throwing a bunch of random, out of context occult names and references with no correlation to each other and banking on Harry and the player being too stupid(or uninitiated) to notice and call her out on her bs and just go along with whatever she says....and what did we all do lol. When you go back and replay it(especially as an adult with at least some novice level knowledge of these references) you notice that she really is just saying a bunch of....stuff and mixing and matching references into gibberish

Watching Lisa's realization to the idea that she is just a manifestation of Alessa's and losing herself in that mental and physical break down of her reality is F%&KING amazing

Decades later, 'The time is neigh!' is still my favorite grammar error in a video game. 😂

That sato guy deserves more recognition. He seemed to work insanely hard.

11:19 you can also make Harry do an "about face", a full 180 turn in place by using the L1andR1 buttons at the same time. This is helpful to disengage quickly and run away from monsters. You can also "despawn" monsters in some areas of the school and hospital by entering a room, 180 turn and leave, then re-enter the room to being empty.

I actually don't think Good+ is canon.

Because in SH3, Harry's journal reveals he all but hated the new baby at first, feeling she could never replace his real daughter, Cheryl. But he came to cherish her over time and felt deep guilt over his past thoughts of mürdering her as an infant.

The Good+ ending shows Harry and Cybil cooing over the baby like doting new parents, definitely doesn't match Harry's journal. And he never mentions Cybil. I get the feeling if he were that resentful at first, he would have left Heather with Cybil and not looked back. Not acting like honeymooning parents with a dead daughter's replacement and a cop he just met like... A day ago, max.

Coming to this off your full Fable retrospective, you're really grinding em out! Keep up the good work my son

Team silent deserve to be in the hall of fame

Aw son really you covered my fav games? 3 is my favorite. I've been here since legacy of Kain dropped and I'm so proud of you. Keep going!

Be careful mate, I think someone's calling you at 9:17 lol

It’s been over a decade since I last played the first game, but after watching this, I realise that the voice acting isn’t actually as bad as most people claim it is.

Akira Yamaoka is a master of sampling. He used existing samples from music banks and created one of the most recognizable music ever

I played this game back in 1999 when I was 10-years-old and then again when I was in my 20's. That Lisa cutscene (48:00) has never left my mind. The context of wanting to save her but not being able to, the soothing music despite the grim circumstnaces, the graphics for the time period, the sound of crying afterwards...just amazing.

I love Lisa’s theme….its calm and a little haunting.
