I’ve been stumbling on more and more cinematographers with less than 1k subs and all the knowledge is so much better than the big YouTubers because I know these small youtube channels are actually working cinematographers

This was legitimately a better education on cinematic lighting than my 4 year film degree gave me. Budget restraints or not.

Hey that’s me!

Bro, WTF! this was so educational. I am a cinematographer and work in marketing. Learned so much from you in a couple of minutes than any other place. You gained a subscriber and a fan!

@4:33 with the upside-down book. 😆 Thanks for the advise. Excellent demos.

always find that these types of smaller channels give way better advice and tips to the average person starting out. great video!!

I'm still seeing cost even in the no budget sections of this.

It would be great to see something with literally stuff you have hanging around, LED lights, table lights etc.

I envy the way your shots look man, and that's what got me watching in the first place. Couple that with your very concise and direct description of the techniques and now I gotta sub

Cannot believe these techniques are so simple and yet effective. Mitchell, you are motivation to build my own muslin 4by4 frame at home and the results out of that book light technique were phenomenal. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Keep creating. Thanks

It's not that I didn't know these things, but you explained it so well that it makes it easier to remember them and recall them when planning now. Thanks for your great work!
