Like comment and subscribe or else I'll talk about the next seasons and they'll be even realer. Apparently no one likes them

Man you absolutely need to cover Mob Psycho 100.

the best part of mumen Rider is that canonically he was a Kamen Rider type who did badass tricks on a Cool motorcycle, but they took his license for reckless driving.

The Mob Psycho signs are looking good…

18:23 I would challenge you on "he dies finally satisfied". During that final talk with Saitama, Boros realized that he didn't have his prophesied great and glorious battle. He went on a great quest/adventure all across the galaxy to find an equal to both push each other to their limits in the final moments of the fights but instead he got the equivalent of a dad feeling bad for his son and making a game of chess or basketball look closer than it actually was. I really liked the ending because after a season of jokes it finally ends on a pretty sad note, Boros feeling like a frog in a well at his last breath and Saitama finally feeling an emotion strong enough to really try but it's pity for someone similar to him and his "trying his best" is an effort to act and pretend.

15:08 it’s ok!! You won’t have to worry about that after season 1

Dear god that visual transition from Mumen Rider to the opening was the cleanest thing you’ve ever done

Season one set the bar so high

6:57 Fun fact: This was also a feature in the game "One Punch Man: The Hero Nobody Knows" Saitama was included in the roster and had the ability to One Shot anybody and take 0 damage. But its a 3v3 fighting arena beat em up. So if you select him you'll only be given the other 2 characters you picked, and have to wait about a minute for Saitama to run all the way to the fight. Both keeping the Canon of the show of him being super strong but always late, and giving a convenient reason for why he's not an instant win if you pick him.

Fun fact: The Mangaka goes by ONE, and made One Punch Man randomly One day to prepare his art skills for the One chance he'd get to make his One true dream Manga. Mob Psycho 100.

Yea, that Mumen rider scene gives me goosebumps every single time. The way he 100% knows he’s gonna die but refuses to move for the sake of those behind him….man

15:37 I'm confident that one scene has more frames than the entire  season 3 LOL

Bro heard everyone saying they want him to review the show with 1 in the title that's about a dead faced overpowered yet lovable MC who works out a lot that was made by the creator ONE and grabbed the wrong name out of that hat.
Never change OA, never change.

14:56 as others have pointed out, it looks so good because a dream team of passionate artists came together to create it, but I also want to point out that the that the source material of the manga is incredibly well illustrated, multiple panels in the manga are the best panels I have ever seen. My personal favorite is the earth slice from the psyrochi fight

I think Mumen Rider is a good example of what the show can do beyond its one main gag. Because, the entire point of his character is to be so kind and unfalteringly heroic that in any normal anime he'd be the protagonist, he'd defeat DSK with pure grit, but after that empowering speech he gets one shot. But, it was still real, it was still moving. We all love him despite his whole existence being a gag about the power of determination. And he doesn't just die or leave the story after his joke is done, he sends a fan letter to Saitama, makes him feel better after he sacrificed his glory to credit other heroes. The series can pull off being emotional when it takes a moment to show you that, for everyone else living in it, this world isn't just a joke.

The rest of the anime doesn't look nearly this good cause Season 1 was basically just a passion project by a bunch of massive names in the industry. The second season still looks pretty good but if you still enjoy the story beyond that point you are going to have to just read if you want any good experience.

14:52 That's actually because the director and head animator were a big fans of the Manga and Webcomic, so they called in favors from all their super talented animatior friends who were all free. And they locked in so hard the key broke off in the door. Something that couldn't be replicated for Seasons 2 and 3. Since not only were all of them now busy because of all the fame this show brought them, but Season 3 especially was given only 6 months to be made. Leading to its massive dip in quality.

One Punch is a peak example of 'Passion project realized for what I can be' transitioned to 'so money?' and it sucks to see because if the latest season taught us anything it's that sometimes a show SHOULD just die and be remembered fondly for what they are before they can only be remembered for "It was amazing BUT-".

Season 1 is so perfect that I don't blame a single soul for not bothering to keep up with it as it continued. I did, and I didn't feel all that disappointed because I knew going in that it was frankly impossible for anything to measure up to that flawless first season.

The star coming at him with a kitchen knife is tops

Seeing this old animation quality after going through Season 3 is such a breath of fresh air. You have no idea pal!
