The real MVP of this movie is the sound designers. You hear every crack, squish, crunch, and splash, it’s incredible and so unnerving

the fact that everything happens in the bathroom, being the place where you expose yourself the most and hiding the bodies there as if it were something shameful, is an incredible metaphor.

It’s about self hatred. Thats why they hate each other. Have watched it several times and it has so many layers. Great commentary. Heartbreaking. Glad you watched it.

Demi Moore is much more confident now, but in her past she went through being abused, addiction, eating disorders and self destruction. She said she basically had to confront herself for this role. In real life, looks like she was finally able to pick herself up, which is very admirable .

You guys are some of the only people who understood that Elisabeth and Sue are sharing a consciousness and aren't two different people.

@nataliavazquez6603 1 year ago

lol the fact you guys could remember Sue's name but not Elisabeth's just made the whole point of the movie

REMEMBER. YOU. ARE. ONE

This line has not left my head after seeing this movie

6:43 - one thing I noticed is how she looks "younger" until she steps into that bathroom stall and after hearing Harvey she steps out of the stall obviously sad but on top of that she looks older, like his comments stripped her of her confidence instantly

I totally agreed with Roxy about the real horror of the film. The body-horror scenes were just the 2nd scariest part of the film. The sadness of the film is way more scarier. Because many people would feel exactly like Elizabeth from the inside.

The reason for all the food is because Elisabeth was literally starving. When sue stays in her body for longer periods of time she runs out of food.. so when she comes back she binges.

Demi Moore WON a Golden Globe for this movie!! AND it was her FIRST award EVER in her career! Huge congrats to her performance and everyone else who worked on this movie!!

It was also noticeable that at the beginning sue body cares about Elizabeth. But as she gets name and fame with time, she just doesn't care and starts treating Elizabeth body as a mere source. And by the end when she accepts herself it was too late

This is one of those movies that does everything with purpose. Dialogue, nudity, camera placement. It really is a work of art

Elisabeth in the bathroom doing what everyone who's ever struggled with their self image was so visceral, I actually teared up in the theater because of how violent it was, the violence we do to ourselves that is. Great film

@SleepyKart 1 year ago

One of the only movies that actually justifies the over the top shocked faces that reactors use in their thumbnails

@olaalo4682 1 year ago

Shes 62 in real life so …. She looks mindblowing for a woman at 62

@girlwhateverrrrr 1 year ago

Sue leaving her body just on the floor shows how she little care about her old self , the interpretation of self hatred on this movie is on point

The way I cried when the older gentleman man told her that sometimes he wonders if he is even worth existing/taking space. It has so many sad layers to this, and I felt it acutely.
