With the prices going up for the movie tickets that spirit better not be taking my seat. Dealing with the living rolling their eyes at me when I ask them to move themselves or their bags is unpleasant enough, I’d rather not experience a spirit rolling the entire head.

Haha. Love how Simon says that the darkness etc attracts yin energy and then tells us to turn down the lights before listening to a yin story.

Did anyone else notice that the staff member who told Sara to stay away from the walls because that's where the ghosts are, was leaning on a wall as he said it?

Nobody sits in the front seats because it's way too close to the big screen. Common sense!

Sarah in the elevator with spirits behind her immediately reminded me the movie The Eye scene.

If you go to book movies at any cinema in Thailand, you'd find that there's always 5-6 seats grayed put on the reservation screen, usually in the left most positions on the 4th row. All cinema operators will tell you that they are "house-reserved seats" for staffs or those customers whose chairs are broken, but in reality they're really "house spirit seats".

I love how you take the time to reply to every comment. It actually shows that you love your viewers so much. Love such creators who are humble and appreciative of their audience. Honestly, i will kinda miss this little privilege that we are enjoying right now, when your channel will grow big. But i wish you so much success and i am absolutely sure you will be at 100k by the end of 2026. So much love and best wishes❣
PS: I absolutely love those concept maps that you use at the end to explain the concepts. I see you have a knack for teaching haha, my ochem teacher uses these type of maps all the time to explain complex concepts, you remind me of him lol. These are little details that set you apart from other creators in this space, you take the time to really elucidate the interpretations and concepts to us who are foreign to chinese culture. I absolutely adore your work. Keep going, you deserve all the success in the world ❤

Happy New Year.  NYC Chinatown in the 80s,  all the theaters had the cushions from the first 2 rows of seats removed.  They were for the ghosts.  There was one theater in particular, Sun Sing" on East Broadway, that in my social circle, was notorious for being haunted. Every time we talked about haunted places that theater and "Confucious Plaza" was always mentioned.  I always enjoyed a good ghost story, even as a kid.  It's no surprise that I found this channel.

I remember when I was a kid it was aired on TV about haunted movie theaters caught on camera.

I have went to cinema at night with my family but never encounter spooky stuff

32 minutes ago, is toe tickling and also sitting in the front row in America is normal and they mostly assign you , your seats after you pay for your ticket.

I have what Westerners call Second Sight, which is similar to "yin-yang eyes", and so do other members of my family and one of my housemates too, and I can confirm that movie theatres (especially older theatres like the Mayfair and Bytowne cinemas) are often haunted. I know that Thomas Edison, who is sometimes credited with inventing the movie camera and was an early film and audio pioneer  and founder of Edison Records and  the Kodak film company was very much interested in the Spiritist movement, and film and audio recordings are the closest thing to seeing and hearing ghosts as most people can get, and movies create strong emotions that form real ghosts as well. However, the wry-necked ghosts in the elevator were dressed as though they lived before the movie theatre was built (unless the theatre was an exceptionally old one built in the silent film era, when some Asian people still wore traditional clothing) and they appear to have died from  hanging or breaking their necks, so perhaps there used to be a gallows where that elevator now stands, or they fell while building something that stood there but is no longer there.

Yes, this all makes sense to me. I noticed long ago that spirits like anyplace that they can have to themselves. They don't want people walking into them. The attic, basement or closet may not be clean or up to date, but they form the respite from humans that spirits enjoy.

This story actually reminded me that once years ago  when me and my sister were coming home from cinema around midnight we saw cat. It was sitting outside of the window in office building on around 6th floor, just looking down on street. We were wandering how it got there and if help was needed.  We looked for a moment away and then back and the cat was not there. We didn't see it anywhere else and windows on the building were all closed. :)

I listen to narrations while doing chores at home. It's Sunday also my day off. I have listened/watched too many of your vids to count today. In the car, yard, doing dishes etc.

I went to the cinema at night with my family, but we never encountered anything spooky.

Growing up, my parents told us not to run our hands along any walls when walking.

Hello. It's kinda true. You don't want them to know that you notice them, especially that you can see them. But sometimes it's hard to completely ignore them or appear unfazed when they're staring right at you.

I always love your videos HKH!! It feels like forever between them!! The movie theater is always so creepy when other people aren’t in it—even the brand new ones here in the city!

I don’t know you all personally, which is great because I don’t usually tell people that I have a third eye. It’s hard because I don’t want to look/sound crazy. I’ve told one of my friends once.. never again. He laughed and used me to go “ghost hunting.” I even told him that I didn’t wanna go because it’s not a joke. I stopped talking to him. The only person that knows now is my husband. I’m glad he accepts it and still loves me anyway 💜
