People who make educational videos are content creators, not influencers. The difference is that an influencer's content is their life, they're not teaching or commenting on anything

Shelby, you are my favorite content creator, and I never get tired of you❗️

As an average person with a bachelor's degree and several years of work experience, working a full-time job, I still live paycheck to paycheck and can barely afford the lowest rent prices in my area.  It is really annoying to see so many people getting paid SO much to live luxurious lifestyles.  I've never watched any influencers who talk like they're lost in the world because they're just cringy and you feel dumber after watching them.  I'll never understand why or how they are so popular and make money.  Our country is so twisted.

Shelby, first, you are a class act!  Personally, I ignore the type of people you were sharing.   You are correct in saying that you aren't an influencer because you do so much in being real!

I noticed that when influencers start their own brand they just love to put the title “creative director” “entrepreneur” in their bio.

I think you were reading my mind when you made this video. I started getting videos popping in my feed from a girl from Australia who was visiting Los Angeles. Just airhead fluff about shopping and bling. I was shocked when I realized that she gets 2-3 times more views than you do. What I love about you is that you are real and care about making good content. Please don't change.

Hi Shelby, I began following you because you add value.  You are not a click bate influencer.   And of course now it is fun to watch you grow up!  Glad you decided to keep making content!   Since I’m a Gen X, you help me understand your generation!  Thx of the information & calling this out so we understand better what people are doing!

That’s why I stay away from short form content. I stick to long videos with good informative or fun content :)

I hate my coworkers more than I hate influencers. Imagine being stuck with someone for 8 hours a day. 😖

Shelby is an influencer with a heart of gold 😉

Shelby I agree that you are a Class Act please keep posting

the folks that show 10 clips in one second make me feel like I’m crosseyed !

What annoys people the most is when they complain about their problems to us normal people 😂😂😂

Oh my god yes Shelby! Reminds me of this other channel that posts full videos of sponsored products that are completely unrelated to the channel! Like vacuums, exercise machines, a lawnmower (when she doesn't even have a backyard!).

It's so interesting how many of the points you make in this video also apply to her!

Algorithm sent me here. Hauls and boring superficial people, that combination is the worst. I think people are waking up to the scam.

I work in retail. We (and I'm sure everyone else) have a business disruption policy. It's what we are supposed to do when dealing with influencers

The world would be a better place without influencers. And I really do mean that. I don't understand why they still get worshipped so much when it seems like the general population despise them. Influencers are contributing to so many evils in the world. Overconsumption, disatisfaction with our lives, body dysmorphia, eating disorders... The list goes on.

Shelby You have brains! Thank you! (Love you) have a good one!

Shelby, love this video!! I have been a creator for over 10 years, I hate this shift we saw where people "decided" to become influencers for the fame and money and not like most of us when we started over a decade ago, to find our community and extend outside of the group we had around us.
I always explain it like that: some people create content bc they love it, they love the creativity and the community, other people do it only for the ego.

Keep going!!

I’m inclined to think you’re just as annoying if you’re continuously watching rage bait videos after you know they’re rage bait 😂
