Thomas Brodie-Sangster & David Thewlis sit down to chat all things Season 2 of The Artful Dodger — from what surprised them most about audience reactions, to how Jack Dawkins has grown up in Australia.

They reflect on reinventing Dickens with a nuttier, more surreal tone, the beautiful love story at the heart of the series, and how Dodger now straddles two worlds — switching between cockney grit and polished charm.

Plus, they get playful with modern-day ‘what ifs’:

Would Dodger thrive as an internet scammer?
Would he run gambling schemes or property cons?
Would he survive podcasts and smartphones?

They also discuss singing in the new season (yes — there is some bawdy pub singing), and reveal who they’d love to bring into a potential Season 3 — with Oscar-winner Jessie Buckley topping the wishlist.

Packed with laughs, insight, and great behind-the-scenes moments, this is a must-watch for fans of The Artful Dodger, Dickens, and bold reimaginings of classic tales.
