I’m really curious to hear what your flight was like.

Agreed about Air Canada. I have travelled Air NZ, Qantas, Jet Star, Garuda, Cathy, United, Korean, British Air, Thai and other airlines. I have never ever struck such a bad airline as Canadian Airlines. There are serious health and safety issues with the airline- my wife ended up with pneumonia after we were placed in cramped seats in the back row - seats that didn't recline for sleeping for an overnight flight. We had already been flying from NZ to Melbourne (over the early hours) then overnight Melbourne to San Fran on United. One would have expected the Airline to take into account our ages (I'm in my 70s) and the previous flights where we had little sleep. The original flight booked with Canadian Air was also not overnight -they changed it, so you'd think they'd have given us seats that reclined and with leg-space. The good airlines also provide for seniors realising that travel can take its toll on health. My seat area was so tight that when I did fall asleep, my head hit the TV screen in front turning it on. Canadian Air is also the only airline I have encountered who, because they overfill their planes and don't have sufficient room for carryon luggage, have to create an unpleasant situation where they force so me passengers to have their carry-on luggage put in the check-in luggage. On the flight they are also mean with providing drinks for hydration. They charge for coffee  and even airplugs.

In my experience the worst in North America (Canada, USA)  is United
