when my friend initially started v3 he saw a reel spoiling ryoma’s body discovery but since it’s so ridiculous he thought it was an execution so i got to gaslight him for two whole chapters asking who he thinks ryoma is gonna slime out

I would've called BS if Ryoma wasn't #1. He's literally the only victim whose body discovery is animated rather than just being a CG.

My favorite is and will always be Mahiru’s in Danganronpa 2 not for the discovery itself, but the lead up to it. It is (from what I recall) the only body discovery in the series where the announcement is made before YOU YOURSELF have found the body. So hearing Kazuichi’s scream followed by the body discovery announcement do a magnificent job of creating tension, as you try to figure out who died before you enter the beach house.

Ryoma definitely deserved the top spot here. He has by far the most cinematic body discovery in the whole series, especially when first-time viewers will think they straight-up witnessed his ACTUAL murder. …Only to find out that his true death was much longer and more agonizing.

6:25 Fun fact, Oiran (high-ranking courtesans) tend to tie their sash infront of the kimino for easy access, however in regular Kimono wear, it's disrespectful to put the knot of the sash infront. Since Hiyoko's sash is tied infront of her kimono, means Mikan indirectly disrespected her body and calling her a hoe

Ibukis body discovery was the scariest for me because I was playing this game 2am at night, just got to the part with the hanging corpse and then all of a sudden MY POWER GOES OFF AND I AM SUBMERGED IN TOTAL DARKNESS. I remember flinching SOOO BADD oml 💔💔
(also worst part I lost my save and had to skip thru heaps of content :c)

To be honest, I kind of like how slow and predictable Tenko's death is. I like the slow, agonising dread of knowing what's inevitably coming, with the death flags gradually getting louder. That said, it certainly doesn't make for the most shocking body discovery. Very sad, but yeah, not shocking.

Also, I appreciate the rare Hifumi appreciation.

I will say for Mahiru’s body discovery, it’s the only one in the series where the protagonist isn’t among the first 3 students to witness the body. So it’s the only one where you suddenly get interrupted with the body discovery announcement. Which was really cool and gives it a few more points for me for the uniqueness of the situation. It builds a lot more tension when you know the body is there but haven’t laid eyes on it yet and it’s something I wish the series did it more. Here’s hoping for 2x2

I remember my reaction to Hiyoko's body discovery. I actually didn't want her to die. Like, for crying out loud, she had just lost Mahiru and was trying to improve herself in her memory! And now she's been murdered!?
I also felt similarly to Taka's discovery. Maybe he wasn't exactly improving himself, but it still hurt knowing that Mondo wanted him to live for him, and he couldn't.

16:06 bro speaking from experience…there’s a lot more fans of Ryoma that were devastated by this reveal (including me) and are probably now kirumi’s biggest ops

02:15 The sole redeeming factor of this discovery is getting to see the massive height disparity between Byak and Makoto. It's so jarring that I can't help but chuckle each time I see it.

12:26 i just realised chihiro’s eyes are open. WHAT the hell that is SO creepy

Fun fact: ryoma’s death was originally intended for Aoi’s execution in trigger happy havoc

At first before I knew more about V3, I didn't know that those were wax figures in Angie's discovery, so I thought it was a PENTUPLE murder,(also I knew that those characters had died, so I thought the culprit brought Kaede, rantaro, kirumi, AND China back to life just to hang them.

I never noticed the nagito tape detail, that is absolutely horrifying in the best way possible

8:38  she was choked in the virtual world, but she died from the shock of being choked irl

Nagitos discovery really hit me. Its so creepy. The music when it starts really sets the tone

I just realised something about Ryoma's Body Discovery

If you do his freetime event, you'll know that he really loves cats, even had one, his hat is basically like cats ears.
And he got eaten by fishes

as someone who loves ryoma, yes, I was horrified by that body discovery.
