Too many people glaze over the monokubs committing actual incest. That was....such an unnecessary plot point....

in defense of hiyoko... she got done SO dirty by the plot in SO many ways. not only was she denied the character development she deserved... BUT ALSO HER MURDER WAS NEVER FULLY SOLVED. WE DON'T KNOW THE MURDER WEAPON FOR HER.

It's CRAZY that MATHEW MERCER had to say in a voice booth "I... I like Em Younger, As young as possible." They made MATHEW MERCER SAY THAT SHIT😭

tenko does grow out of her bad traits.....and dies seconds after she starts

I feel like monomi was the perfect side character for monokuma. And she actually plays a role in the main mystery

Tsumugi was underused considering her talent. She could’ve been a menace impersonation others or even the culprit of each chapter. And her plain design would’ve worked if others have heard of the mastermind and came up with elaborate ideas of their appearance or identity.

Okay, i wont argue about the monokubs, but they actually serve precisely ONE purpose, and its that their absence in chapter 5 leaves the exisals unpiloted, and those things are SUPER important for the murder plot.

Haiji is an interesting case, cause we're clearly supposed to hate him - he was a horribly abusive brother to Monaca and never takes any responsibility for what she became, he's disturbingly eager to murder a whole bunch of brainwashed children, and he's in general a very unpleasant guy with no redeeming qualities - but with just one line, he became one of the most hated Danganronpa characters for a completely different reason

Honestly, i can appreciate what they're trying to do with the monokubs. They're supposed to exist to lampshade the trope of a long running series adding new wacky characters as a ratings boost. It's basically the equivalent of survivor 50 having mr beast and billie elish in it. Danganronpa season 53 would obviously have some stupid gimick to try to convince fans that this season will be different from the last 40 seasons of mediocrity.

What bugs me about Haiji is when they double down on him being a pdf file, because he does mention it again in the factory, and for some reason Komaru is like charmed that he's honest about it?! Idk who wrote that part but no it's not charming.

honestly all of Ultra.....wasssssss pretty creepy. That one weir game mechanic, the unnecessary Haiji line, the weird angle of the child characters, and the mishandlings of serious topics.

2:19 I just realized that they gave Toko an ahoge in UDG alongside Komaru; I know she’s the deuteragonist, but it only just clicked for me now.

Fun fact:Haiji looks A LOT like Cristian Aldana,an argentinean noise rock vocalist who's currently in jail because he's a...uh...
THE EXACT SAME THING AS HAIJI

DR3 ruined the more than a decade long fan-perception of Mukuro, by having her giga-simp for Junko, even when actively trying to kill her, at least we still have DR:IF.

How is the ultimate impostor more hated than hiyoko and teruteru like 💔

In regards to Tsumugi, I think it comes up in one of the board game conversations that she is intentionally bland.

In Haiji Towa's case, he's not just a .pdf
He played a big part in physically abusing Monaca to the point she pretended to be wheelchair-bound to stop the abuse. Even in-game he was beating her.

Dude is scum lmao.

me entering my danganronpa phase again; oh yeah it’s all coming together

I like to think that the Monokubz in-universe were one of those corporate decisions forced by Team Danganronpa as an excuse to sell merchandise, and even Tsumugi hated them so much that she systematically had them all killed as a middle finger to her higher-ups
