I was a teenager when Zeppelin were at their peak. What people don’t realize is all of their fame and fortune came from one thing: the music. Back then, there were no videos of them to see, not even many photos. no social media, no shameless self promotion like things are done now. There wasn’t even a picture of them on most of their albums. nothing but the music — it all happened because people like LISTENING to them. It was about the music, period. I miss those days

my favorite Zeppelin story - my brother in his room, me in mine, 2 stereos and mom at work. We lived in a townhouse. He decided we should both drop the needle on each album, Rock and Roll at the same time, windows open so the neighbors got to hear lol. I miss him. He looked so much like Robert Plant, same hair, long skinny young man, long hair, long flared jeans and always full of good ideas.

I might be old, but at least I got to see all the great bands  !

In the words of John Paul Jones; "Let`s face it, it`s the best bloody band there ever was ".

Who else remembers watching the song remains the same in theatres as the midnight movie? Great days

What strikes me most is the actual payment differences between today and then, not just record attendance, but ticket prices are unreal today, and how Ticketmaster has made billions off these events.  Now hundreds of dollars a show for some acts, its ridiculous how much it is now.

At the end of the day, all four men were and are some of the greatest musicians in the world regardless of what they did or didn't do. And no one can argue with that!😊

I remember back in the day. The 70s was the best decade of music ever in my opinion. Thanks for sharing this  gem of a video.

I saw them April 23, 1977, when I was 16 in the now gone Omni Coliseum, Atlanta, GA. Jimmy was well into his heroin addiction and was uncharacteristically more sloppy than his usual self. He had a fifth of Jack Daniels on Bonzo’s drum riser that he kept swigging on (and finished) throughout the concert. When they played Rock And Roll he was doing the Chuck Berry duck walk across the front lip of the stage and he fell over… Bouncers caught him and pushed him back up straight onto the stage… Jimmy never stopped playing… The crowd erupted! Even with his less than stellar performance, it was still GREAT seeing Zeppelin live. One of the most fondest memories of my youth!

No wonder their peers like The Who and The Rolling Stones hated them. Led Zeppelin were just on another level.

I was a teenager living in Boston in the 60s. My friends and i saw a poster in a store window  LED Zeppelin  at the Tea Party. 4 dollar entrance
What a great night. Thought the place was going to fall down. I was hooked for life. But only saw them 1 more time in NYC 😊😊

Saw them in Pittsburgh, Three Rivers Stadium in July1973. Unforgetably amazing! Timeless innovative talent.

My dad was in a band my whole life. Stairway is the 1st song I can ever remember him playing.... He would have to play the entire song before I would go to sleep...lol even as a baby I knew what great music was ... Tomorrow will be one year since my dad's been gone ... What I wouldn't give to hear Stairway played on his old Martin guitar!!! RIP daddy! Miss ya to bits...

without doubt the greatest rock n roll and folk band ever..they successfully invoked the 5th element.

I was at the Tampa concert 73. 15 yrs old...incredible the  band & audience.

Prior to Zeppelin bands played gigs and were lucky to see 10% of the take ... Peter Grant changed all that ... his message was simple ... you want us then we get 90% of the ticket sales and you get 10% ... the promoters were not having it but Grant stood firm ... this changed the whole financial scene for every band ever after.

Just reading about this in the " giants walked the earth book." Love planty ..he's my all time favourite singer . I was lucky enough to see  Led Zep on 79 at Kenilworth.   ❤

I saw Zep at Day On The Green 💚 in July 23, 1977.
At the Oakland Stadium. 🪷
It went over like a lead balloon! 🎈
So incredible. A force of nature. 🕉

I remember the first time I heard whole lotta love on an AM radio. It sounded great, but it sounded a whole lot better on my parents' FM stereo console. Mom thought I  was going to blow out the speakers!

Kashmir is so cool.  Jimmy is in 3/4, Bonzo 4/4.  They meet every 12 beats.
