Without any one of them there was no Led Zeppelin.

JPJ, getting well-deserved praise, thanks

John Paul Jones has always been criminally underrated when it comes to Led Zep.

Without any one of the four, there's no Led Zeppelin. That's why there's no Led Zeppelin today.

im glad this guy is getting the recognition he deserves

About bloody time that John Paul Jones get the credit he deserves. You take him out of the equation, and there is no Led Zeppelin.

He mentioned playing on Tom Jones's record during this. I just saw an interview with Tom Jones and he said that John kept playing on his records even when he was in led Zeppelin. Imagine that touring the world, busy creating new music and still working in the studio, man his dedication

Thank you John Paul Jones for all your talent with multiple instruments and contribution to music i appreciate.

John Paul Jones may not have been as flamboyant as Page and Plant, but equally as important.

The greatest secret weapon in music.

They were all geniuses.  Not sure why JPJ really never got his due.  It's never too late.

Without any one of the four...there is no Led Zeppelin. That's why they didn't continue after Bonzo's death

I am one of those people that beyond loved LZ . I believe he was the real genius of the band.  I am a drummer, John Bonham changed my life. He died on sep. 25 1980 when  I was in high school, I  walked out of school at the protest of my teacher,  my parents came from work and tried to find me, later that day my dad said they would get another  drummer and I told him in tears that the greatest band to ever exist was over. God bless them all

Tom Jones said that "even when Led Zeppelin was flying high John Paul Jones would play bass" on his recording.

one of the all time great bassist

I always found him very good looking.

The sum is always better than its parts and no band defined that the way Led Zeppelin does. I also believe JPJ was the heartbeat of the band. He created a stunning atmosphere in the music, most prominently in the song Dazed and Confused. That violin bow being slowly dragged across the strings of Page’s psychedelic Telecaster against Bonham’s tap-tap-tap heartbeat patterns is a brings you to the very precipice of a psychotic episode, but once the violins start to fade out in the background of the song, a thundering, higher tempo hits you across the face as the song  moves into that final, panicked groove nailed down by Page & Bonham. I’ll never forget playing side one of the debut album at 13 (in ‘81) for the first time and being completely shellshocked at the conclusion of the song.

I had no idea Jones was so incredibly talented! Very impressed with not just his skills, but also with his humanity! ❤️🙏✌️

Being a bass player myself, having listened to a lot of their live performances, it was JPJ than kept it together so Page and Plant could do their thing. He was playing the riffs, which gave them their freedom to do what they did.

Without John Paul Jones there wouldn't be Led Zeppelin. He is very talented.
