The world has got to get used to not trading with the US.

No one mentioned that since WW II the rest of the world has caught up to us in manufacturing and the world doesn’t need us like they use to.

The feed cut off after the second audience question, so I don't know if anyone asked about the impact on global economies with AI eliminating jobs traditionally performed by humans. It seems to me that the impact would be devastating to social structures and devastating to workers relying on salaries to sustain themselves and their families.

I'm in the u.k, and it looks like to me, you guys, you American people should have Mr. Sachs as your president. He is intelligent well spoken, level headed mentally competant, everything that Donald Trump is not.

These are great scholars, great guru what ever good names you prefer to call them. They are with great humility, ideas and all the great values etc. etc. they are spot on with their analysis. Why none of them walk up or team up to run for the office, win and help their people? Care for the AMERICAN first. Once AMERICAN is really in good hands the world automatically be in good shape.

It seems America 🇺🇸 only saves the world in movies 🎬 in real life you have to save the world 🌎 from America 🇺🇸

WOW great facts over bs thank you all.

Tax system is totally broken

We need to tax the rich, their huge corporations/businesses, & the huge churches … because they broke their deal and then now talking about politics and practically put this orange menace to our society in our government

‼️‼️‼️

The rest of us need a break because we’ve been covering for America for decades‼️

Now we’re not even being represented so our deal was ….

“ NO taxation without representation “

Now that they’re not representing us at all, they’ll need to get it from these other rich folks they represent ‼️

I say that because we’re gonna obviously need ours to pay for our health insurance, our drugs, groceries, clothes, our home and car payments, gasoline, our children, colleges, and whatever else we need to pay for now that this regime took those things away from us and most of our money ‼️

You better not come for that equity in our homes like Beset said 🤬👎🏼‼️

My greatest deepest respect to you sir, Professor Jeffrey Sachs.

Great Pod.
These guys have nailed it have'nt they.
But it is up to our democratically elected politicians to buy the political capital and bring the people along with what needs to happen.
That's called courage and imagination!

Evolution in a finite world requires cooperation not competition!

Smart minds, my respect to both of them.

Sophisticated explanation ❤👌🏻. Unfortunately the voting masses can’t understand a bit.
Aparently THAT is the problem.

Thank you I learned a lot. The Turkey Finance Minister Simsek's economic policy thoughts are very illuminating because this is based on historical facts. Very sharp mind. As always, Prof. Sach's penetrating insight into how we got into this mess is illuminating as well. From both of their comments, one can feel the world is on a wild stampede towards a cliff driven by man-made events, specifically policies characterized by greed, stupidity or short-term fixes. When things doesn't go as planned, the major powers resort to wars to resolve matters, rather than dialogue and collective wisdom.  If these are the same patterns that toppled great civilizations in the past, then we are just repeating them. Not that we do not know these patterns, it is just we are not able to awaken the collective power to overcome the forces of greed, stupidity, and anger.

In its essence this is a problem driven by adhering to the wrong beliefs and/or philosophy. These wrong beliefs manifest themselves eventually into collective policies that create deeper exclusiveness instead of inclusiveness, exceptionalism instead of a respect and cultivation of the beautiful uniqueness of others. In short, nobody thinks all our existences are necessary because of our interconnectedness. Nobody thinks that the destruction of others, only accelerates one's extinction as well.

Altogether, our current world culture today as a specie, doesn't nurture compassion, understanding, and tolerance for others, which is our way out of the mess.  The world is disunited. And if not fix, we go the same way that past civilizations, no matter how "great" disappeared. ignominously.  Thanks a lot for this sharing.

Professor Sachs always gives the truth. Thank you!

Very clear explanation… thank you professor Sachs

Very informative and enlightening.  Thank you.

That was an eye opener when you hear it from the people who really know what they are talking about for a change actual facts that cannot be disputed.

All these smart people on YouTube, but none of them running for office!? The ones that dont want power should be in power, and that includes myself!

What it looks like is a whole lotta nothing!!! We're getting more than our share of bullshit corrupted political system 😡😡😡 these politicians have taken no action for us in decades. They've been sitting around wasting our time, money, and resources to stuff their own pockets!!! Get to work, or taxpayers need to rebuild our political system. Defund the corruption and the dead weight!!!!
