Thanks for the tips especially regarding pro capture, I really must get to grips with it. Next is a longer reach lens at the moment the longest I have is the 40-150 f2.8 so for birding I’m still reliant on my Pentax K3iii with a 150-450 lens plus a 1.4 extender but it is heavy.

Thanks for the great video. The picture of the Male Reed Bunting at 9:19 is superb. The colour hues just blend together in a spectacular way making the bird stand out so well. That is a great image.

On the topic of camouflage and bright colours: I've recently bought a cover for my OM 150-600 - similar style to yours - but it seems to make the bright orange parts of my tripod stand out more! I see the bright blue parts of your own tripod, and wonder: is it negigible enough not to matter? I assume, if it doesn't bother someone like Roger Hance...

Second piece of indecision: owning a telephoto zoom, and the promise of another good telephoto zoom from OM, has made me think about the practicality of keeping my 300mm prime lens - a piece of equipment that I otherwise have no complaints about. (Well, the hood sometimes sticks a bit 😄) Do you still use the 300mm, as used for the dipper shots, now that you have the 150-400?
