green finches seem to be rarer dunno if its because the goldfinch has replaced it being so common now ?

You had another female Marsh Harrier in the final footage of the close bird

I always find the stories of ringed birds very interesting as me and one of my friends found a Black-headed Gull at a small nature reserve with a rusted metal ring. We got a reading and submitted it. We found the bird had been ringed as a chick in Central Denmark in 1995 and hadn't been reported since then. By the way, great video, keep up the great work!

Fascinating video. I’d tried to photograph a Little Owl behind my house for some years, but it was always too distant and the light too dim. But two years ago, I was playing with my dog in our small adjoining field when I noticed a Little Owl perched on a fence post nearby. It was relaxed watching me. It stayed there there long enough for me to get my camera and take a very pleasing shot. Result!

Little owls love disused quarries

I've seen most animals and birds in the UK but have never seen a Hawfinch so good on you for getting such great footage of this rare bird.
Where I live I often see Little Owls and we have Barn Owls nesting about 300yds from my house and I regularly call them in by sqeaking. We also get Kingfishers on our pond, catching the Rudd and Roach fry whenever our local river is in flood.
I had no idea that Little Owls weren't native so thanks for that information. They're quite common here (North East England) and tend to be well spread out during the Summer but will retreat to lower valleys and woodland when Winter comes.
As I work from home (and my garden is a paradise for wildlife) I get to see all sorts of animals and birds on a daily basis. I'm looking out of the window now at a Goldcrest hunting midgies in the branches of a Norway Spruce tree. Happy days, lol.

Good morning 🌅 and greetings from HONG KONG 🇭🇰 SAR. HKSAR also has the Warbler birds : the JAPANESE BUSH WARBLER. It’s an Asian passerine bird that is more often heard than seen. Its breeding song can be heard throughout much of Japan 🇯🇵 from the start of spring.
HKSAR also has a Blackbird : CHINESE BLACKBIRD. This bird is usually found in less wooded area.

Here in Thailand I see many migrating birds! I have Hoopoes in and around the garden. Some fledglings have been taken care of by friends! Feeding them mealworms and getting them back to strength! One bird returned a few days after release for more mealworms! * Saw an Owl lifting a small snake off the road last month! Amazing place!

I remember seeing my 1st and only Hawfinch a Male on the muckleby Hill in Norfolk and it was being mobbed by Redpolls.

wonderful viewing .i really appreciate your videos they aregreat . looking forward to your next vid.

Another great blog, very enjoyable. You had a 2nd GW Egret earlier in this blog in the background.

Good luck! We have Little Owls in Richmond park in London, except when I visit 😂

I saw a few days ago a greater yellow breasted wagtail(in the Netherlands) do you know if they are rare?

Hi great camera work. What set up are you using please.

Hi Wirral based, my father in law and I have been been down weekly with no luck to see the little owl, any help would be greatly appreciate as this is one off the list that seems unachievable!

What a beautiful churchyard! I remember going to one in Suffolk with a fellow birder that passed over 20 years ago. We were in search of Hawfinch then. I wonder where that pink foot had been during 10 years of not being reported! Beautiful footage of so many birds! Getting the cettis  like that was superb! Nuthatch is one of  my all time favourites. Nice one Nigel! Hi Kayleigh!

I’ve seen all the British owl species except a little owl and I’ve seen all the British finch species except a hawfinch 😡.. love your vlogs 👍
