Michael Forbes spent years rebuilding his life, transforming himself from a convicted drug offender into a successful millionaire businessman. When he met Kelly Shady, he believed he had finally found the family and happiness he had always wanted. Their whirlwind romance led to an extravagant wedding, a luxury home and a future that appeared perfect.

Only weeks later, Michael was found dying inside their Long Island home after being strangled. Kelly admitted she caused his death but insisted she acted in self-defense. As detectives investigated the newlyweds' relationship, they uncovered an affair, conflicting statements, a delayed 911 call and evidence that challenged everything she claimed. This documentary follows the investigation, the courtroom battle and the shocking truth behind one of New York's most disturbing newlywed murder cases.
