Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is a 2004 American satirical comedy film directed by Adam McKay in his directorial debut, produced by Judd Apatow, starring Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate and written by McKay and Ferrell. The first installment in the Anchorman series, the film is a tongue-in-cheek take on the culture of the 1970s, particularly the new Action News format.[3] It portrays a San Diego television station where Ferrell's title character clashes with his new female counterpart.

"Boy, that escalated quickly." Classic. Also, I didn’t know you had a job outside of youtube. Congratulations! It's nice to hear your perspective on how the movie portrays the industry.

Jack black punting the dog off the bridge is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. You will never see something like that again 😂

Fun fact: the (heroic) dog was called Baxter in honor of a funny character from the very popular 1970s American TV show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, which mostly took place in an imaginary 1970s American TV news show office. The character was named Ted Baxter, and he was played by Ted Knight, who also played one of the main characters in Caddyshack!

Paul Rudd said in an interview 10 years ago after he got his star on the Walk Of Fame that the man who actually made star worked with him before on Anchorman, he made the Sex Panther cologne bottle

Speaking of news, I think some procedural thrillers centered around journalism would be great watches, especially ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN (starring Dustin Hoffman and the late Robert Redford with screenplay by William Goldman (who won an Oscar for this film)) and Best Picture Oscar winner SPOTLIGHT.

There was one time in 2009 or 2010 when Will Ferrell appeared as Ron Burgundy in an actual newscast in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I think there's still a clip of that somewhere. Around the same time, he went up north to Winnipeg, Manitoba to assist TSN (The Sports Network) in their coverage of the Canadian Olympic curling trials, known as the Roar of the Rings.
