The Nasty Boys - Why So Many Wrestlers HATED Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags

The Nasty Boys were one of the most iconic tag teams of the early 90s WWF, and their gimmick was two loud, obnoxious punks. But according to almost everyone who worked with them in the WWF and WCW, Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags were just as out of control in real life as they were on television. In this wrestling documentary we look at the trail of destruction the Nasty Boys left behind them across three decades in the wrestling business, and find out why so many wrestlers hated them.

Real life rock steady and bee bop

They tried to bully Grado at a convention in 2023 as well. Brian Knobs has done nothing but make people miserable, yet he's the first to cry about needing GoFundMe money. Total loser.

My dad and I met Knobbs one year at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Dad went up to him and said I’m a wrestling fan. Knobbs one the nicest we ever met talked to my dad for 45 minutes about wrestling will never forget it

I was just thinking the other day you don't see much mention at all about the Nasty Boys in wrestling videos - thanks for this!

I swear I heard Ken say he got hit over the head with their hotel room phone and they DID throw him over the ledge. Then years later he saw one of them at an airport and went to fight they said they’d sue him so he didn’t. Wild

They had my local band thrown out of the Allentown Fair (where theyre from) because people were taking pictures with us and asking for autographs and NO ONE was going to their autograph stand they paid for. We were just walking around mingling

Don't forget that Knobbs missed the 1992 Royal Rumble after he was sta*bed by a group of young men they got into a bar fight with in Illinois

It took me a long time to accept The Nasty Boys as a believable, top tag team. I remember when they first started out, as job guys in the A W A, and that's how I thought of them for the longest time... job guys.

Jerry Lawler had the entire wrestling Hall of Fame running through Memphis at one time or another.

I'm 43 and back in grade 6, 2 of my friends and I entered a 3 on 3 basketball tournament at my school and had to think of a name on the spot. We settled on The Nasty Boys lol. After every game we won, we'd sing "we're the boys... we're the boys... we're the NAAASSTYYYY BOYS". Good times.

I gotta give em credit, surviving Ken Shamrock in his prime AND New Jack is either very impressive or extremely lucky.

Jerry Sags reminds me of The Kurgan.

The Nasty Boys were also friends with Hogan. Makes me wonder how many things they got away with, due to being friends with him. Unknown when they actually became friends with Hogan though.
