We return to Stardew Valley! We pick up our crops for selling and do a quick run through town and the Community Center before heading into the forest to the Flower Dance being held! Do we have the courage to ask for a dance partner or be crushed by rejection?

the first flower dance being a humiliation ritual is a canon event for every stardew player

Hey, just wanted to say that I really enjoy your play style. It's so nice to have someone with a pleasant, calm voice exploring the game in a curious, chill way. 💟 It's an extremely welcome change from those channels that basically yell at you the entire time, even while playing a point and click puzzle adventure or something 😅 I'm definitely going to stick around for the long term

You never forget the shame of your first flower dance

Man attempts to console himself after being rejected 12 times.

Mass rejection by all of the dateable characters at the first Spring Dance is like a rite of passage - or a really bad hazing. 🤣

Poor Linus! 😢
Talk to Linus. He's just cautious because people rejected him in the past. Some hooligans even tried to destroy his tent. But he actually wants to become friends with you and the other villagers.

As you correctly guessed, striking out at the flower dance is due to you being new in town and not having had a chance to get to know people well yet. Watching you get rejected was unfortunately very funny though 😂

At least it's something to look forward too next year!

Reading the books in the library and watching the tv daily can give you great insight on when and where to catch fish

Dont worry, this is how everyones first dance goes.

I burst out laughing the first time Haley gave me the "Ew, No". But Leah's "I'll be honest. I don't want to dance with you." was a long-term wound lol. I eventually married her on that farm, but I ignored almost all social events for that whole year. (Had to do the Fair, and the Winter Star)

Tip to keep the community center less overwhelming: if you hover over an item in your inventory that can be donated to the community center, the icon on the left part of your inventory will start pulsing. This is great to check if some random items you have stored in your chest are donatable.

I feel like ConcernedApe doesn't get enough credit as an artist; the junimos are such a simple little design, and yet they're instantly endearing. As soon as you see them, you want to befriend them, just because of how cute they are, long before you learn that they will also help out the town.
