He     had     a    soft    side,   and    he    could     turn      a     frown    into    a     smile.     He     was    a really      geniune    kind    of       guy.
He    was   a    hard    worker.

I’m a 70’s child & live in Australia where Xmas time can get very hot. My family still to this day play white Christmas every year & I always dream that I’m in this beautiful place in the snow LOVE Bing Crosby

He sure had a magical voice . I still prefer his Christmas songs to anyone else old or new. The voice is so soothing . His and Dean Martin. Two of my most favorites .

Mr.     Bing      Crosby     had      a         beautiful, amazing    singing     voice!!     He     was    a   great    and     very    talented    actor!!     Just    adore     and     love      his     acting      style.

why can't we have TALENT like this now?

Bing made everything seem so effortless.  

That is a trait and a talent we rarely rarely see.

My father sang just like bing but he looked and had the mannerisms  of Cary Grant . His nature was so gentle with a sharp agile wit. He would always say to me 'let it go'  . I would look at him in bewilderment - it took me years to understand.  My heart misses him so much.

He died doing what he loved!  Good for him!

It's sad to hear people trashing "Holiday Inn". it's a classic with great humor and quotable lines throughout in addition to some of the most fantastic dance numbers from Fred Astaire. My kids are 30, 23 and 19 and they all love the original "Holiday Inn" movie.

You know what's cool. I was born on the same date as his son harry. I also live in and was born in the city he grew up in. His music was and still is astonishing.

I love Bob Hope he was so natural

Bing was a great straight man but his effortless sounding singing was truly breath taking.....it surrounds you and seeps into your being

I got really TIRED of those so-called EXPERT movie critics in this video putting down the movies made during these years. They were...they ARE..and always will BE WONDERFUL!!!  The filth and lackluster writing produced from Hollywood today will never equal the old movies.

actors/actresses then were actually real actors, they did everything, singing,dancing and acting. true talented people. unlike today who make their name from the movie writers. movie stars today are not impressive like they were then. i miss the old Hollywood/English  stars. stars today are not stars in my eyes

The reason people like Bing Crosby and other actors of that era remain so popular even today, was Talent.  Today's so called stars do not have it and come and go, and are forgotten just as quickly with very few exceptions. Actors of that era had enough talent for their craft to hold audiences attention without the use of sex or politics, which would not have been accepted then anyway. Funny thought; James Cagney was actually pretty far left politically, but can you imagine what would have happened to him if he got on a stage and belittled FDR the way some actors do to the president today. Oh well, times have changed and not for the better. These actors like all humans were not perfect and pointing out their faults is easy to do, but today's actors are simply no comparison.

Seeing this brought such great memories.  He was a great talent that will be forever missed in my heart.

I watched Bing and Bob when I was a very little girl and loved them, and thought they were perfect. After reading more about them I see they were humans with the failings that every human beings have. He didn’t seem to be the best husband and father but great entertainer, which is unfortunate. Of course life has taught me that he was just human like everyone else as no one else is perfect or has been a perfect parent I think all parents can look back and see that there hasn’t or ever will be perfect parent or even perfect human beings as we all fall short of perfection. Now as an adult I appreciate them even more as for about 2 hours we can relax and think that they reached perfection.....
