オルフェーヴルは恐らく今後日本馬が凱旋門勝つまで永久に鞍上が乗り替わった事を言われ続けるんだろうな。

Uploading Nakayama Festa's and Orfe's run back to back is lowkey brutal

大外枠ってだけでもうかっけー、さすがオルフェ

One of the closest times that Japan has ever gotten to winning the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Thank you Orfevre.

that's a heartbreak ending, but a amazing performance by Orfevre. The long uphill part at 3:35 looks absolutely brutal.

Let's go Meisho Tabaru! The Arc de Triomphe will be painted in gold!

If I was a fan at the time I probably would've cried. He was so freaking close.

"Here comes a chestnut horse from the outside! Its the japanese horse orfevre!"
Damn the commentor waa cooking

Orfevre's grandad, Sunday Silence was kind of ostracized by everyone, despite winning Double Crown in America, nobody liked him and when he retired, nobody wanted to buy his stallion rights. That's why he ended up in Japan and changed the horse racing there forever.
If Orfevre won that day, it would be Sunday Silence's ultimate revenge I think, a sire line from a horse rejected by everyone winning in the biggest stage in horse racing would be magical

Orfevre: mmmm yummy rail.

Fans: aaaaaaaaargh.

What i think happened was that Orfevre accelerated so strong that it was difficult to lead him straight because that burst of speed after the corner was extraordinary.

You can feel Cristophe Soumillon's disappointment.

Praying that his nephew avenges the family honor.

Orfevre ran a strong race here and was definitely one of the closest to win the Arc. It was a massive heartbreak for Japan, but you cannot deny the strength that he showed here! An absolute legend he will always be remembered to be, carrying the hopes of Japan and ensuring that the dream never dies!

Shoutouts to Solemia as well, this was a massive underdog moment for her! I dont want her to be a footnote, she ran the race of her life here and that should be acknowledged! She would also go on to compete in the 2012 Japan Cup against Orfevre and Gentildonna.

AI translation

Orfevre was born into an elite bloodline and possessed every quality a racehorse could need, all at the highest level. But in this Arc, the flaws in his temperament were exposed in the worst possible way.

By nature, he was a horse who only found his fighting spirit when he had a rival ahead of him to chase or one running alongside him. Having his rivals disappear from sight so early proved to be his undoing.

On top of that, he had inherited a bad habit from his sire, Stay Gold, and his grandsire, Sunday Silence: a tendency to veering. Just before the finish line, he swerved sharply to the right, and Solemia, unfazed by the heavy ground, unleashed a tremendous finishing kick to run him down and win.

I believe in you tabaru!!

Even after all this year, I still believe Orfevre is a capable Arc race winning horse. Especially with Ikezoe as the jockey

Railing: hello

Orfevre my goat🗣
