I can't thank you enough for all these videos. It's really great to have all these groupsets and parts in one place. Keep it up, very helpful!

vids like this are a gold mine, thanks so much, replacing BB actually looks approachable now with the right tools.

Thank you for all these great videos, you saved me too many times! Keep it up.

Your videos are amazing. This is EXACTLY what I needed. Very detailed, and easy to follow footage. Thank you so much for making these. I just subscribed to your channel.

Thx for showing how the tools snaps into place inside the cup, not touching the (carbon) frame at all.
A serious relieve. 😀

Good work and good explanation!

Good info

Excellent tips.
Thanks

Thanks for the nice video. I guess I will have to visit the local shop instead of doing it by myself. Thanks from Seoul

great, thank you.

I was wondering how it managed to turn...thanks for explaing where the bearing are :)

Great video as usual. So annoying having to buy special tools to remove and install these. I have a Shimano SM BB72-41, would the tool at the start you used work? What model is it? What about the adaptors on the threaded rod where did you source those please and what type are they etc, what size rod. Many thanks 🙏🏻

SOLVED: Removal tool is a park tools bbt 90.3 and it comes with those adaptors if anyone else needs to know this information!

How do you keep the centre tube from misaligning, as it did me?  Ended up cracking one end of it.  So I went and bought the full press fit screw kit off ebay, with several dozen size pieces, and was able to piece together a self-aligning set for the centre in addition to the end press pieces.  I'm not a professional mechanic like you -it were a might spendy.. but less dear than LBS doing the job.  And now I can replace most of the bearings on most of me bikes.  Though, this SM-BB72-41B Ultegra is the only one that's failed me, but I mark it up to the bike builder leaving the cable guide hatch off, allowing road grit into the bottom bracket.. looked like the muddy Thames in there it did.

Another great video and very helpful for me and my bike.  That Park Tool removal tool is so expensive though. Guess there is no cheaper way like you normally suggest, especially when working on your carbon pride and joy.

Why to  knock out the  non drive side first?

and what are these 2.5mm spacers for that is in the box with a bb?

Great video! I wanna just be  sure right and left is only referred  on the internal spacer . may you confirm Are cups equal?

Hi, I have a problem, while using the Park Tool to knock out the NDS bearings (they were in extremely bad condition) the bearing housing itself which I think is a composite? (it's Shimano BB71-41) basically disintegrated leaving me with a problem oh how to get the remnants out without damaging the frame. Any advice greatly appreciated.
