When it comes to police k9, military working dogs, search and rescue dogs and any other working dogs, training is paramount. It's just like anything else - the more time you put into a dog, the more you can count on it to do the things you ask of it. American Tactical K9 Association, ATK9, is committed to providing world class k9 training to law enforcement, federal, and military agencies across the country. This week, we're at the ATK9 training event at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Indiana to see how ATK9 is working to make training accessible and affordable to help keep our communities and officers safe.

I didn't realize until about 5 years ago (40+ years with dogs then) that when I come home from work, they know my car. Yeah they know the sound, but they know what it looks like too - all my dogs do, even my pound rescue dogs. They are far more aware and intelligent that I ever realized in the early days.
