War Thunder themselves don't steal blueprints... their players do.

DO NOT! I SAY AGAIN, DO NOT use homemade napalm to start a campfire, the fumes and smoke are highly toxic and will kill you and will stick to everything it touches. DO NOT USE IT AS A WAY TO START ANY KIND OF FIRE!!!

1:23 oh the devs don't steal Classified War machine Schematics... The players who are ACTIVE MILITARY MEMBERS shove the files into the Dev's faces lmao, the devs genuinely had to publicly announce to their players to "PLEASE STOP SENDING US CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS"

I'm sure someone in chat or something brings it up, but it's really funny that you keep saying "it reminds me of DayZ" without realizing there is a very specific reason WHY it reminds you of DayZ 😂

Correction, "they" (Gaijin, the creators of War Thunder) don't actually acquire those designs, they are GIVEN those designs against their will by insane military members. They ACTIVELY tell people to NOT do that, but it's obviously such a recurring problem that it's a meme. Honestly, they might be the game studio with the most contact with worldwide governments.

7:13 makes sense DayZ is originally an arma mod

@762_Spammy 4 months ago

You can Identify which is Friend and Foe by Staying on the communication and Asking who is in that area, who's doing what etc. that's why Soldiers are trained in a Fork of Arma, they're training communication skills and Fighting tactics, also if it's an RP server there will be a Standard uniform for each team but if you're playing a Casual Server it can get messy when everyone is playing Tactical Barbie Dress up

7:02 Proably because it was originally an Arma 2 mod.

DayZ was made from Arma2 and was originally a mod that became so popular they made it into it's own game eventually and moving it from the Arma2 framework to Arma3 framework and then eventually getting it's own modified version of arma3's engine.

The “Going to jail” comment badger made at the start is real by the way. When Bohemia was developing ARMA 3, they used a real Greek island as the basis for the fictional nation of Altis. Naturally some of the developers went to the island to get references and as you would expect were taking ALOT of pictures. Some of those pictures were of active military installations, which got them arrested and charged with espionage. They were later released and the charges dropped. In regards ARMA being used for training, ARMA (a highly specialized offshoot of it) has been used by the US Military for a while now.

Getting Arma'd, is an actual term people use to describe getting fucked up by the physics engine in the game.

You can always do the "Ukraine drip" in order to know who is who. Since the Ukrainians and Russians are using the same camo, the same gear, the same guns, and speaking (marginally) the same language, they use brightly colored arm bands and flags in order to identify eachother in situations where seconds matter.

He hates when people are being vague, so that means he hates vagueposters.

10:26 ChaCha inadvertently learning about the problems of fighting against an insurgency.

for firestarting kindling that WON'T lead to a police investigation, use dryer lint. it's basically the depleted uranium of kindling, if you do laundry regularly you're always gonna have some available and it takes a spark like you paid it

At about 16:24, the safety scissors are trauma shears. You use them in cases of trauma, such as cutting off uniforms to apply first aid or jabbing into hostile to apply a need for first aid. They aren't great for the second thing but when all you have is a hammer...

@jakeking974 4 months ago

Fun fact: it's a war crime to shoot an ejected pilot. So ARMA just lets you commit war crimes with no repercussions 🙂

@DFVaun 4 months ago

You need a mod to jump in ArmA because the engine wad never really intended for unintentional physics interactions (like players being on top of vehicles) since ArmA 3 is running on an engine that's ~30 years old and keeps going via the coding equivalent to dip spit and duct tape, adding ragdolls probably required blood sacrifices.

Also if you're tired of having knees and/or ankles, put on 150lbs of combat gear and try jumping. Highly (not) recommended.

Badger forgot one thing: you CAN see where your bullets went without tracers when the person you were aiming at hits the Human Ragdoll (if you know, you know, 2000s internet was NOT a great time for a teenager and their familiarity with death)
