I like how you can literally see Hector getting more tired by the second while Achilles' rythm remains constant and fluid like he's barely breaking a sweat.

The greatest story told of how one woman can cause so much despair and death all because Paris fell for her and her insane beauty.

Achilles is just angry and upset, we understand that his cousin pretended to be him but that still doesn’t take away the hurt/sad feeling of his cousin dying.

The true villain is paris that started it😢

This fight was done by the two of them as well, Eric Bana and Brad Pitt met the director at the Walls of Troy set before the hurricane that destroyed it and watched a pair of stuntmen perform the choreography. The director asked them what they thought about it. Both Eric and Brad said they liked it. The director said something to the effect of good to hear that. You have 8 months to learn it.

Your silent battle with Achilles is destroying us.
He is one man!
HECTOR IS ONE MAN! LOOK AT WHAT HE DID TO US TODAY!

-Men rise & fall like the winter wheat.

If they ever tell my story let them say that I walked with giants...let them say I lived in the time of Hector tamer of horses...let them say I lived in the time of Achilles.

Fun fact. Achilles chased hector around the city a Troy a few times before ending him within 2 strikes. None of this fight happened in the actual story. But it looks great on screen.

Two of the greatest Warriors that ever lived at the same time equally matched, these two were known throughout the land. No one could defeat either one of them. only way for one of them to die is to fight each other.

Achilles was not toying with Hector. If you notice every other fight that Achilles has, he’s never out of breath and he never gets his armor cut. They’re both fighting all out.. Achilles is in better condition and has better form so he wins the fight

Love LiteWeight's reaction because the whole time she was just so done with Paris and all the shit that happened because of him

Imagine if they knew he dragged Hector around Troy for 12 days

The thing that’s so incredible about Hector’s performance here is that the only reason he loses is because he is mortal.  His skill in battle is every bit that of Achilles’, Hector just tired out.

If you read the Iliad, it says that the Apollo protected Hector's body from the abuse during Achilles' dragging his corpse 12 times around the city by placing a golden shield around it.  Something they omitted from this movie, Achilles had to chase Hector 3x around the city, until the goddess Athena tricked Hector into stopping.  When Hector saw Achilles in his bright golden armor with the sun shining off of it, Hector panicked and took off!  Athena took the form of Hector's brother Deiphobus and Hector, for a moment, thought he had an ally to help him fight.  He did not.  Hector realized he was on his own and still turned to face Achilles.  A later poet, Statius wrote that Achilles was dipped in the river Styx as an infant by his goddess mother Thetis.  She held him by one heel as she dipped him, making that one spot his vulnerable part.

Hector murdered Menelaus. His cowardly brother stole a mans wife, made a pact to fight to the death, and then ran away when he was about to lose. Menelaus showed Hector respect by calling him prince and telling him to stwp back, and Hector cheated and killed him.

"This is wrong, this is wrong..". No. This is the infamous Achilles rage. He can't be stop. Not even himself.

He hated the king on his side he found the woman anyways even tho he went to Troy, his own men didn’t think to question his cousin until hector took off his helmet. you could only really tell by the greenness his cousin showed with the flow of Achilles ,but his cousins eagerness to fight before they went home an to fight in general….after he was killed no one could stop the bloodlust until their king snuck into his tent. He finally broke down over the princes body.
Bloodlust especially at that level…WILD to say the least

This battle wouldn't have ended any other way as Hector the mortal was battling a Demigod in Achilles.  The battle was inspirational upon Hector defying odds and facing a death he knew was coming, but he faced it with courage.   We didn't want to see Hector die as he was an honorable warrior, but even people as good as Hector will succumb to fate.  The only question to answer is if death is to come for us, how will we face it.

Das kranke daran ist das Hector Weiß,das er Achilles nicht verletzen oder töten kann

4:49 that's when Hectors wife knew..

Colette's every comment 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌✨️ She slayed with the way she described Hector in comparison to the rest. He's the real hero all throughout the movie who deserved way better 😢🩷🩷🩷🩷
