Clicking the video and it being exactly 1 hour long nicely scratches an itch in my brain. Now I hope Matt doesn’t roast my favorite movie too hard.

I feel like the humor is very subtle. “Thumb. Drive.” was a joke that made me laugh. Batman saying he did hold back on his punch on Gordon also.

all the rain is intentional, not cause it looks good, it sets up how much water would come pouring in when the city sea walls are busted at the end.

The “distortion” wasn’t done in post. It’s called dirtying up the lens and they purposely scuffed it up and added Vaseline to give it the effect that’s in multiple shots.

18:02 That's real friendship, they don't even have to talk anymore to communicate 😂😂
- " Dang bro ! She's hot ! "
- " Don't say a freaking word ! Our wives will surely watch this video. "

Fun fact: after this movie Paul Dano (the actor who played Riddler) wrote a prequel comic about his character. It is The Riddler: Year One. It’s worth checking out.

Bruh. . . Matt giving trivia on Pattinson about his knowlege on him into indie films and stuff. . . . wasn't expecting that but make me like Matt 10x more than I already do because I am a Pattinson defender as well as a Kristen Stewart defender. Thank you matt for that. Giving Pattinson the respect he deserves.

30:54 I mean drop heads sounds corny but we also call people crack heads if they smoke crack so maybe life is just kinda corny like that 🤣

I mean at the start of this Holden did say “he’s only been Batman for about 2 years” so his “Batmobile” not being like the classic would make sense. He hasn’t upgraded it yet

In terms of humor, I don’t think Batman needs much humor, given his brooding nature. However, I can see other characters around him slipping in a few jokes here and there. Take Penguin, for example. His levity provides a nice contrast to Batman’s serious demeanor. That said, I’d say this movie does have humor, but they’re subtle. Not over-the-top or forced.

Batman cut the THICK electrified cable above him because that was the most practical way to cut it in one swift strike, you can’t do the same if you’re chest is right by the cable, you don’t have a swing from that angle and closeness, it logical. If you start slowly cutting the cable up close you’d get electrified before you cut through it which was his whole point. He also wanted to get down to help the people right after and the fall in and rise from the water was a visual baptism for his transformation from vengeance to hope

Bro sometimes I swear… they didn‘t play it up for the audience to think „he drowned and died“, like Black Panther it, it was like a symbolic baptism. Matt nitpicks the tiniest of things, but then can‘t comprehend the most obvious story-arc, like why the Riddler goons said „I‘m vengeance“ and what it means for the story of the film. Really frustrating.

Your friend Matt is right.
This film is a Work of Art.

The progression of Batman's internal monologue from Vengenace, to more, after the flooding incident, when he takes the flare, and leads the civilians out of the darkness...

The imagery, the soundtrack, the acting, just a phenominal film.

Oh, and let's not forget about that Batmobile revving.
Purrr baby, purr!!!!

@Jojo.co3 1 year ago

It was literally adreline. A actual realistic choice. Matt should understand that more being a health guy lmao

Greig Fraser has been killing it as a Cinematographer, Dune, Batman, Rogue One, Zero Dark Thirty, even a movie like Lion

I just notice Falcone called Bruce "the prince of the city". That character did the same thing in Nolan's Begins when Bruce confronted Falcone in his bar. "You're Bruce Wayne, the prince of gotham; you'd have to go a thousand miles to meet someone didn't know your name"
