I was there two weeks ago and loved it. The colourful kampungs are great, but I also loved the nightlife with several bands performing on the street. Really great vibes. Thanks for letting me relive that!

Have you gone to the traditional market? Next time you need to go to Pasar Oro-oro Dowo in Malang, open early in the morning, go there at 7 in the morning and you will see many delicious food stall that went viral in Indonesia's social media. Kue lumpur, bakso goreng, sego liwet bakar, ote ote, jamu.

The giant pancakes you have called Martabak..it's Indonesian kings of street food.. they also sells the savory version with duck eggs and beef filling it's also a winner..next time you're in Malang Stays in Batu area it's on higher ground about 40 minutes drives cool spot lots of theme park, zoo, museum etc..and try Malang speciality menu called Rawon it's black beef stews ..it's one of world best soup atlas foods version..

The Pukis is the small ones, that pancake is actually Martabak Manis (sweet martabak), the giant pancake that can fill with every sweet thing you want or even savory cheese combine with sweet Dutch chocolate springkle (meses). Next try Martabak Telur or egg martabak that actually savory version of martabak, that more like omelette wrapped by something similar to Wonton skin fill with egg (you can choose duck egg or chiken egg), spring onion & meat (usually use beef or sometimes goat meat). Have nice try. 😊
