Welcome to A new Re:Zero timeline video! Who would have thunk it?! Ever since season 4's release I WAS SO EXCITED to make this video, so it's great to finally be able to talk about the RIDICULOUS ways people view our weak main character -- FEAR, ADMIRATION, SUSPICION, AND WITH A HINT OF PTSD! ALSO, I LOVE THAT I finally get a chance to use the desert theme from mario. Probably my all time favourite Mario track.

Subaru Natsuki will return in SEASON 5!

BEFORE ANYONE ELSE SAYS ANYTHING:

Gluttony Subaru was seen by Meili, along with that creepy promise. Of course, I fucked up lmao.

I assumed that didn't happen because she tried to kill him, but in reality it happened because he didn't fake him still having his memories.

From an outsider's POV, Subaru straight up tanked having his memories eaten by Gluttony, mastered ANOTHER Authority, and lead the charge against an army of monsters while supporting multiple simultaneous battles.

sometimes you wonder why characters are scared of subaru or question him or want to kill him until you see what he looks like from their perspective. dude is insanely bipolar, has the scent of the most evil witch, gets random power ups, remembers people who no one else does, literally predicts the future and knows everything that will happen, defeated two of the great mabeasts and seemingly came from nowhere. like it makes sense to us because we see everything but to others it is actually unexplainable

5:35 Considering Subaru is the only person in the world to remember Rem and has shown the whole Emilia camp that he visits her every night and cries at her side, like in Season 2 when Emilia consoled him at her bedside, then yeah the group knows at least Subaru loves her and with how they feel about him it's not a stretch to consider she loves him if not more so.

Plus she was found in the Whale Ambush party unconscious meaning she fought alongside him against a terrible foe.

Julius loving the word "monolith" will never not be hilarious to me

in the eyes of everyone he lost his memory for a few moments and then just bounced back as if it was nothing....

man is just amazing

Everyone else has strong magical abilities or innate blessings given to them by Od Lagna itself, meanwhile Subaru is just a normal guy who somehow always has a 100% success rate, untold knowledge of every situation he's stuck in and, for no particular reason whatsoever, can use to authority that was once held by the strongest sin archbishop to take away others pain. To everyone else, Subaru is the closest thing to Superman they'll ever see

22:50 The thing is Subaru can only do this if they consent and if they view him as an ally, I was thinking about it but you could use Cor Leonis to see if someone trusts you, and from the anime visuals, you can use it like a floating eye.

Honestly putting it like this I get why Meili suddenly starts to adore Subaru

He’s as much of a monster as Elsa

6:08 Ram says that because she can feel Rem's emotions and insane devotion for Subaru. One of the first things she felt from her, post gluttony. That's part of why she gets so mad at Subaru when he forgets.

@DrowsyCarbon 1 day ago

2:57 it’s actually shown in one of the break times that Petra did visit Meili in the basement from time to time.

Subaru has EUPD, the fear of loss and abandonment, the infatuation romantically, hell the bipolar mood swings, On perfect runs, where you only do his successful solutions to each trouble, the dude just looks like someone with a personality disorder who doesn't have access to mood stabilizers.

It´s funny bc the line "it isnt fair, only people who know the same sky i do" is not that shocking in our world, bc it can be seen as being from another point of earth, but rezero world being flat, makes it hard to believe

tho everyone knows subaru comes from "beyond the waterfalls"

@guylian2343 1 day ago

Let's remember that, for them, Subaru does and say a lot of weird shits.
The whole Memory of snow movie with a activity from his hometown and where he talk about New York is a proof that everybody just accepted it even in season 1.
Or more recently, when he goes to Foxchina on the balcony and say that the view is like a ocean of sand...she doesn't know wtf is a ocean but just accept it

@kreysteller5470 1 day ago

To everyone, subaru just got eaten by gluttony and figured out a way to get back in the span of mere HOURS or just several minutes.

This is like reinhardt reviving himself after letting himself die by the hands of regulas. That's INSANE 😭😭

@upuuuuuuupuuupu 1 day ago

Fun fact: From everyone's POV, Subaru talks like Garfield.

@fatalitydx8688 1 day ago

9:10 ... lol it actually was brought up in the web novel version of arc 6, when the first thing subaru does after losing his memories is reveal that he came from another world... leading to everyone thinking he went insane and was straight up lying because of how absurd it was

12:31 I NEVER CLOCKED THAT PEOPLE FORGETTING JULIUS MEANT THAT IT REALLY DID LOOK LIKE HE FOUGHT SLOTH AND WON

BY HIMSELF!!!!

@TheGreatMountainGoat 1 day ago

25:25 I’m gonna point out here that Envy’s aishteru’s are probably only ‘audible’ inside of Satella’s shadow itself. Also, Satella is never actually described in the shadow in the arc 6 novels, contrary to the anime portrayal of a projection of her
