My sister has owned the Genos sine 2020 and I played it sever times ... I have the Yamaha Genos 2 and yes, the difference in both sounds and style are miles ahead. Thank you once again Leigh for your outstanding insight of this wonderful professional arrangement keyboard by Yamaha.

Excellent article. I was thinking of exchanging my Genos 1 for Genos 2 but I think I tend to 'jump the gun' when a new keyboard  comes out  [I was the same when a new organ came out].  Been playing since 1969, and this instrument is certainly the best I have ever owned. Your article has helped tremendously in saving me a couple of thousand  pounds and sticking with Genos 1. Thanks for your honest opinions on this and all your previous articles.

Definitely worth it goes on and on and on. Not only the genos but the sx keyboards too. I enjoyed it.

Had my genos 1 just a couple months now. Epic!!!! Recording awsome assassin's creed type music on it. Love the orchestral sounds.

I'm so glad they released the Genos 2 because I could pick up a Genos 1 for cheap.

Thanks for your honest assessment of this fine instrument.  No need to buy a G2 until I can handle a Genos PROPERLY.

I struggled with this question for a while as a Genos 1 owner. Came to inescapable conclusion. Im not fed up of it by a long shot.

The genos 1 is a brilliant piece of kit, and usually very well looked after. If you're a home player it will serve you for many years. My music school has a PSR 3000 which still sounds amazing.

The Genos 1 is the most powerful keyboard I ever owned I got it on purpose when the G2 came out the guy was in a bind he wanted to upgrade and I helped him so he gave me a great deal.

Im only keeping my sx900 as its easier to carry to oap homes for my clients of younger years to give them enjoyment.

Great video Leigh, have a nice weekend

After watching your video, you sold it to me as i was going to buy the PSR SX920. So off i drove to Absolute Music. Got one with the speakers, and i believe that i got a great deal. I'm happy, can't wait to get back to Jersey and play it. Thanks for your review.

Hello Leigh, I just wanted to say thank you for your time, and your sharing. The insight Ive gained is such a great help. I've recently list my twin brother and life as you can imagine hasleft me feeling rather void. He can't be replaced of course. But your videos on the Genos and Genos 2 and others. The sx 920, and Pa5x strings are heavenly. Sorry to go go and.on, but "the unique blessing and beauty that is inspirations' stain has appeared and continues to heal through your videos. Truth.
God bless you, Peter Priamos, Jr
By your sharingonThanks!

Great Video Mate, I have had some great Keyboards over the Last few Years, I really loved the Yamaha S910
What a Piece of kit that was, Tyros 4, loved that Keyboard to Bits, Now i Have An SX900, And A Yamaha 950,
which is Still An Amazing keyboard, The slow strings on that With Reverb Is Just to die for, And The Lesley
Organs are Fantastic. talking about Shadows Guitars, Well. The SX900 With Reverb Is Just like Hank Marvin
is In the Room with you, So I am Nervous about chopping them in for A genos. Even though My friend That runs
our Local Music shop Has Hinted to me to part Exchange Them, Don't get me wrong He Offered me a Dammed
Good Price for them, I have had the strings From my Yam 950 Put on my SX900, Cause the strings Are a bit to
Synth To be Honest. But The SX900 Is Still a Cracking Piece of Kit my friend. So i Might Just save up my Pennies
For the Genos, Genos 2 Is a little out of my Reach Price wise, Anyway Great Video my friend,

I have part exchanged my Tyros 5 (76 key) for the Genos 1 it arrived this morning but because of work being carried out on my home I haven't been able to unpack it yet so looking forward to later this evening! I've subscribed to your channel so hopefully I will be able to pick up the different features and sounds of my new keyboard.

Love this chanel and all Leigh tutorials. Wonderful inspiration between 02:50 and 03:50. Incredible how few notes can be beautifull and melodious. If possible to know which song/style is it coming from ?

Hello! Great vid! I have a Genos 2 now (after having the 1)Where would I find the best EQ settings as so many websites differ? Also, does anyone know how to save a style into the playlist? TIA Happy keyboarding! 😊

Have you covered the use of mp3 Leigh?

I have a Genos 1 in my home... I find the sound quality out of my high quality headphones is far, far superior to the sound from the Genos speaker set in my small room.  Are you able to suggest better sound speaker options? ..... I don't need volume, rather improved quality of sound

Can you play music tracks from iPhone through Genos 1 given that there is no Bluetooth.
