I feel exactly the same about even cheap fabric being precious if I love it and know I can’t get more.

I absolutely loved following along on your London trip! I have to admit, when you showed that gorgeous Liberty London fabric, my heart skipped a beat. Even at £30 to 100 a yard, my sewing brain instantly started designing a dream blouse! It is so easy to rack up £150 on all those smaller, quick purchases throughout a trip, but in my eyes, having just two yards of that breathtaking heirloom fabric is worth so much more than a collection of smaller items. It would be such a special, lasting piece to treasure from your travels. Either way, I always love your content and can't wait to see what you create next!

You'll have to upgrade your photo system to the Stash Hub wishlist for the ones you're really considering😉 My wishlist has been extremely blessed lately - I've added 3 fabrics then they've all gone on sale whilst I was thinking about them! Can't believe you made it round Goldhawk, Walthamstow and Liberty in one day, you must have been exhausted! Excited to see what you do with all your new trims.

Whenever you're here again, I recommend a visit to Dalston Mill Fabrics in Ridley Road Market. You may know their on-line shop which is excellent, but they have even more fabrics in the shop. In fact, it's such an Aladdin's Cave that it can be a bit overwhelming, but the staff are all welcoming and very knowledgeable and helpful.

I go to the goldhawk road BUT only with my husband. When i went on my own i found a lot of the shop owners RUDE ....and really PUSHY. I felt really intimidated. When i go with my.husband i am treated differently... Goldhawk Road is in my opinion NOT the friendlies of places. HOWEVER Liberty's is a WONDERFUL SHOPPING EXPERIENCE. Thank you for sharing ❤

I went to the Gokdhawk Road for the first time recently as my birthday treat. I bought a few bits (not that I needed any more fabric 🤷‍♀️) but mainly I just wanted to experience it. I really love being surrounded by fabric 😊 I didn't think the prices were necessarily any better than some of the other places I use. I'm not sure what I was expecting, to be honest. I'm glad I went so I know what it's like, but I don't think it will become a regular thing. I need to be disciplined and sew up what I already have - I bet we all say that, don't we? 😂

What an interesting trip -- I'm in North America and despite being "across the pond", I'd heard that Liberty had extended their fabric section! Thank you for the video tour, their materials are definitely beautiful with an heirloom feel. Know how you feel about sales associates pushing you out of the store. I'm a bit more of a "don't worry, if I need help, I'll come looking for you" type of shopper.

I went to Goldhawk Road last June (in a heatwave) and it was very quiet then, most shops were empty, a couple had one or 2 other customers. That said I was with my daughter who got fabric blindness after a while, so didn’t do both sides of the road. I wonder if it’s the sign of the times and more people are buying on line.
I’ve done Goldhawk Road a couple of times and, to be honest, have been disappointed both times in what was there - but never had a plan, so maybe that had a bearing on it. I find more to buy from Rosenbergs at a show or their roadshow.
All that said, I loved your fabric and trims.
I fancy Walthamstow’s market one day - I remember the Man Outside Sainsbury’s from when Karen Did You Make That had her blog - can’t think how many years ago that was 😂
I went to Schiaparelli on Yorkshire Day (and the QEII exhibition at Buckingham Palace). Both were fantastic, and I’d go back to both in a heartbeat. I just love a fashion exhibition 😆

I do love tana lawn but of the current design range like only two. The full price is also a bit high and as am now retired dont feel i can routinely spend £60 for an everyday blouse. However I did receive 2 metres of one pattern as my birthday present, but it was on discount in their sale. The tana lawn was a delight to sew, so hope to buy the second lawn design on the wishlist when or if it also sells at a discount.
