Metal detecting in Noord-Brabant, the Netherlands. On a large construction site, looking for old coins. And more. Finding some nice relics from the past and lots of shrapnel from the Second World War. Finding also nice, old lead seals for a change. I left out the most boring parts, sweeping the detector for many minutes without a signal. And some digging for shrapnel too.
Most of the found coins are 'rotten', meaning these coins are too far gone to read them, to make a decent picture of them. Sandy farmers fields are not the best places for metal finds. But the next signal could be old silver. Or even gold. So let's give it a try.
