I have just bought your book and now this video has been flushed into my feed on YouTube. I am very impressed by the many beautiful patterns and possibilities. This video is very helpful to understand how shortened rows work in knitting.  It makes me want to experiment and realize my own ideas. I have been knitting for many years and am always keen to learn new things. The use of patterns from shortened rows is a new level, apart from their usefulness for figure adjustment. Thank you very much for the suggestions.

I have just completed the shawl from this book.  It’s so beautiful. I am just about to start on a shawl using another pattern from this book. The patterns really are good on other garments like the back of a jacket for instance.  Thank you Woolly for bringing this into my life.

I’m completely enchanted by your short row colourwork. The richness and movement of the fabric it creates is truly beautiful and feels new. I rarely wear hats, however, and wonder if you might consider designing pullovers. I am sure it brings a huge level of complexity, but it would be a huge contribution.

Hello, I bought your book a couple of weeks ago and have been experimenting a bit. This is a lovely method that has made me like garter stitch, which I didn't like before. Since English is not my first language (I live in Finland), these videos are a great help. Understanding knitting charts has been the biggest headache. After 60 years of reading certain types of instructions, charts with a different way of thinking are challenging. But learning something new is wonderful and I'm not going to give up. So in short, any visual guidance is appreciated, thank you. 😄

Just magic ! I used to have a small yarn ball on left side (good use for remaining yarn) . My technic works for any kind of your motifs (adjustables, stackable, ...) but you have to deal with three threads which is not ideal when you are dealing with short row back and turns.  Your technique looks nice on the "wrong" side and I like it. I will try yours. You say it does not work for all kind of motifs. Wich ones and how to deal with in this case ?

Alright Garter Colorwork Queen….
Any suggestions for balancing out one color selvedge stitches when knitting one row stripes in garter stitch flat? A simple slip stitch edge with just one color leaves a gap.

Hello!  I’m new to knitting.  I began several years ago and stopped and just went back to it earlier this year.  I bought your book a month or so ago and am now just getting around to playing with the motifs. I’m very excited but have a question with the borders.  Does this same border method also apply to the stackable motifs in your book (I’m playing with Anemones) or is it different because of the pattern?  Also, this pattern calls for CO 30 stitches.  If I want to include borders on either side and, say, do your six, would I need to add an additional 12 stitches cast on for a total of 42 in order to get the borders at each end of the motifs?LOVING YOUR TUTORIALS AND BOOK!!!
