Great video but i want to point out that you are making extra work for yourself using the teleport behaviour. There is a new region behaviour called change level, this allows you to make only one region that connects both floors instead of needing two for teleporting. There is a free module called Restored Keep - Scene Levels Demo, this is a good way to view the way to set up those transition regions

just here to drop a like.
Got spare time to watch your videos today, it's national holiday where I live!

Very much looking forward to getting my campaign moved over to V14 once the modules catch up. Levels look great and the Pop Out feature is a massive QoL upgrade for me.. being able to have my interactive journal notes on another screen is amazing.

I do hope that Wall Height continues to be updated, if only for half-height walls; combined with the "auto cover calculator" module, it's been invaluable in automating partial cover for my games.

Awesome video thanks CG!  I'd just like to say others have done an overview which is nice, but these more in-depth videos are far better.

native levels? Let's gooo

thx for the overview. going from the logic of rippers module, by dropping in the balcony as a tile and properly setting up vision, it could work. but i am sure, ripper will eventually bring in the lost functions from his modules over to v14. he really is the goat

It all looks good so far, but the multi level light option, God yes! I'm still running Cyberpunk and having all the fancy lights be visible as much as possible where levels are concerned....

Looking forward to updating in about ayear, when the modules catch up!😊

We're all waiting on mod updates lol

I've figured out a fix for the ‘floating 5ft in the air’ thing. It drops you 5ft below the top of the elevation range set for the target region, so ensuring that the target region is exactly 5ft puts you on the ground.

Thanks for the video! I wonder if Ripper will do a module for the vision from a lower level to a higher level

Thank you for the video! It is really helpful to have someone walk through and explain the new features.

I was wondering if there is a way to properly align different levels. What I mean is that I have a ground floor level with a different grid size than the basement. When my players move between levels using regions, how can I make sure they appear in the correct location?

For example, if they walk up a staircase from the basement to the ground floor, is there a way to have them automatically appear at the corresponding staircase on the new level, even when the grid sizes differ?

Amazing, FoundryVTT should link this video on their announcement page for scene levels. The only thing missing is tokens on lower levels having vision of tokens on higher levels, although it's a tricky thing to implement I would assume. In your tavern example, what would the token on the ground floor actually see had they vision of the 1st floor token? It floating above the background image of the ground floor? A bit of surrounding space around the 1st floor token, perhaps faded at the edges? It's easier if the lower token cannot walk under where the higher token is positioned (e.g. imagine a scene with someone in front of the castle wall at the lower level, and someone on top the wall as the higher level), but if it can and the level it's on extends to under the upper level (like in the tavern example with the balcony, but also with bridges, gangways, etc), it's not immediately clear how vision of that higher token needs to be presented.

If you want proper height vision you need to use token vision not global. Global obviously just lights the place up. It's there a check box for 'roof' in v14?

This being different subscenes makes so many things a lot easier. Especially for modules like MATT which currently have no idea about elevation. I wonder though how balconies and above token tiles that are supposed to vanishing when tokens walk below them can work

how do yo make like roofs to disapears?

Personally if all the functionality of detach window works...like character sheets works that will be huge!! Today popout not all functionality works

I've noticed issues with importing json data for walls/ect for maps from Dungeon Alchemist onto different layers in FoundryVTT. You can import that data but only for one level within a scene. Wonder if there will be a fix.
