I remember much of this coming into my house.I was a month short of my sixth birthday.I believe much of the excitement over the Beatles and other British musicians in the new year was there was a desire to have something that made us feel good and end the mourning of Kennedy's death.
I just watched a video on the Beatles’ Ed Sullivan Show and now JFK. It was a very emotional decade full of extreme highs and lows. I went from age 6 to 16 that decade. What a time to grow up. Plus I lost my dad in ‘63. I was 10. And losing RFK in ‘68 and witnessing Neil Armstrong walk on the moon in ‘69…😊
