I'm sure someone else has already said this, but I bet that fish lived to before because the owner consistently talks to her every single day and gives her love and attention. That's so amazing so many people get fish and forget that their animals who still want companionship. Some people use fish as if it's home decor. OP sounds amazing

The biologist in me when someone says, "mice are cute, but rats are gross." 🤢 Rats are 10x cleaner than mice. I've worked with wild ones and research mice and rats (and also had pets of each), and trust me, rats every day, any day. Also, crows and ravens are both corvids and are badass animals. 15:10
