Sounds just like a British sports car manufacturer, which builds cars in a shed somewhere in Leicester 😂

The best thing about this game was the boxart, it looks so freaking good and it has that very specific early 7th gen aesthetic that the PS3 had.

If they had double the budget, it could've been a "good, but forgettable" game.

This looks like a game you would find in a cereal box

I love that collisions cause huge chunks to fly off of the cars, but no other damage is apparent 😆

Ironically, this game was made on the same engine and by the same people who worked on Indycar Series 2003. Similar situation to Kuju Entertainment, after Lotus Challenge they divided a small group to make few cheap racing games on the same engine around 2004-2006

That Midas games logo on the box explains everything.

Never heard of this game but it gives me a weird nostalgic feeling. It reminds me of other low budget racing games I played on the PS2 around the mid-late 2000s, which all had that very generic looking forest race track with low-res trees sealed off by a barrier

If you can't find any sales number at all,   there's a high chance it sold less than 10,000 copies.   As they don't even bother recording sales under that.

But, it makes you wonder how much of the budget went on the licence.   That or they got it for free as one of the dev's Dads was one of the higher ups at Noble or something.

I just realised that the website of Midas Interactive is still up for some reason, and it's a time capsule of 2006.

Another budget racing game published by Midas that I'd like to see you cover is GT-R 400 developed by Kuju Entertainment

I remember when i got a fake bootleg of NFS Shift for PS2 which is common to find those in Latin America and Brazil when i was a child and then i got a game menu selection (those menus you mostly see in Latin American and Brazilian Matrix modded PS2 users) that not only comes with Noble Racing, but it also comes with OutRun (that game doesn't work, but throws to the Memory Card menu screen), Super Monaco GP and of course, Need For Speed: Most Wanted with BITMAPI cheat menu that allows you to unlock all cars, all parts, infinite money, nitrous, speedbreaker and allow to disable opponents.

The same thing also happened even during my adulthood when i spot another fake bootleg of NFS: Hot Pursuit 2010 in which i got the same result as the former game.

This game looks like a PS2 port of some early PS1 racing games

Most niche British cars didn't have traction control or ABS, so I'm not surprised that the handling is squirrley. I probably would have squeezed some enjoyment from this title back in the day.

5:43 lol they couldnt even turn

Lotus Challenge at home:

Ah yes, Brain in a Jar: maker of abysmal, low-effort shovelware racing games, the IndyCar Series games that are inexplicably solid for their usual level of quality (that may have been more of Codemasters’s doing), and according to MobyGames, the first Watch Dogs (though I’ve found absolutely zero evidence to support that claim, and I highly doubt they’d have had the capability to develop something as masterful as that).

Braininajar also had the Indy car series which looks like the same physics, graphics and was actually really fun  game worked well on ovals

Noble Cars deserved better, as a really impressive car manufacturer. So did Brain in a Jar, to hear you describe their working conditions for this title... This breaks my heart, if I'm honest. So sad to hear that neither the developer nor the car manufacturer's license got a better outcome.

Bargain bin games, I had a lot of those! Don't look half bad! As a canadian, the reason that I am even aware of Noble existence is TDU Unlimited !

Noble racing? More like Nobody racing in this game.
