I ran into Mr Scully on the streets of San Francisco. It was very surreal hearing that voice in private conversation. A very gracious man who gave this Giants fan much time and a very precious memory.

The best baseball announcer ever the great vin scully😢

I spent many summers listening to Vin Scully call a ballgame. He taught me so much about how the game is played, it's history and of individuals. He made a slow-moving game entertaining.

Vin is easily the best sports announcer ever. And I love his narrative about Henry Aaron, a great American.

Vin Scully, the greatest storyteller who ever lived.

LA native here.

This is like listening to my uncle, honestly. I wonder how many hours I heard this voice.

Listened to him call many Dodger games when i was a little boy. Never heard any other person call a game like him

My wife told me a long time ago, she said as a little girl she would fall asleep listening to her dad's radio with Vin. Now I'm married and still falling asleep listening to Vin

I don't even like baseball, but I love hearing Vin Scully's voice talking about ANYTHING!

I was born in 1963.

Vin Scully was a major part of the soundtrack of my summers living in Southern California for five decades.

Thanks, Vin.

RIP.

Somehow ..I just knew that Vinny would mention Willie ..I can’t remember not enjoying listening to any of his broadcasts ..in fact ..I have fond memories from the mid 60s listening to him ..on a small transistor radio ..with my dad on the patio on many a summer evening ..

Clayton, Fernando, Jackie, Sandy, Willie and Henry.

Though they were sometimes bitter rivals ,there is a plaque in the San Francisco Giants stadium honoring Mr Scully. I myself was a Giants fan living in Southern California and my father and I so enjoyed listening to his broadcasts on the radio. ❤

I heard Vin's voice for the first time in 1963, when I was four years old.  It also happened to be my first trip to Dodger Stadium with my parents, and my dad brought his transistor radio so we could hear what Vinny had to say about what we were watching.  It wasn't a real ballgame without Vin Scully, Jerry Doggett, Ross Porter and so many others over the years.  Now it's so loud at Dodger Stadium that you can't hear yourself think, and I don't think Vinny would recognize it anymore.  And that's truly sad.

Farmer John comes to mind listening to Vin Scully

Vin would have loved Shohei. Two of the nicest human beings who happen to love the game of baseball ♥️💙🧢.
Miss you Vin Scully😢.

I can only remember things fairly clearly from the age of five and on so Vin Scully was an enormous part of my life since 1960.

Vin Scully: the epitome of class!

Not even crappy effects (stop it) can ruin my love for Vin. The one and only G.O.A.T.🏆

Vin Scully ❤ Thank You 🙏🏻
