I bought one and really happy. Being a shorter rider at 1.7 m I have no issues with the screen. My wife says it is really comfortable on the pillion seat.

Decent review mate. Subscribed, see you at your first million subs !!!

Great test Matt. I rode the Voge DS900 x the other week and exactly the same problem with screen. It was so noisy, and to put that prospective I normally ride a Monster that has no screen! 😂 seems they definitely saved money on designing the screen and somehow ended up with some noisier than no screen at all!

I bought a Touring model a year ago. Loving it! Fast, powerful, surprisingly sporty handling and very comfortable for a day in the saddle. I agree, good looking in a Star Wars sort of way. The quick shifter and cruise control are standout features but also love the self cancelling turn signals and even a steering damper. The hard case panniers you get are top class. As a touring bike, the CFMoto 800MT is superb. Yes set fully up the windscreen does whistle, but lowering it will stop that. The engine is a bit lumpy around 2000 RPM, selecting rain mode helps, in town riding. Out on the road in sport mode, the engine absolutely rocks! But hey, no bike is perfect. And yes...the price! Insane value for money!

I think with an audio recorder the overall quality of the video would increase dramatically. Awesome review nontheless

Great video!

Could we get some MV Enduro Veloce content by any chance?

Chain and sprockets failed on my brand new CFMOTO 800 MT ES ...my dealer at it's first service noticed a tight spot on the chain at 700 miles...now awaiting a new chain and sprocket set under warranty....not great
My luggage set i paid £700 for has faulty locks...not getting replaced under warranty...dealer was told to tweak the lock with a screwdriver by the warranty team....no I'm not joking....even my dealer was laughing about it over the phone .
My TPMS system failed at 800 miles along with the T box....then restarted again 200 miles later ...
The bike is amazing and lovely to ride..the tech is great and it handles superb, that suspension is incredible it really is...just hope these are rare faults and they don't come back
In regards to the messages on screen...that can be auto accepted via a tick box...never need to do it again.
Home down star button and it brings up the 2 nd screen that includes the sat nav ..u will not get any messages on main screen once you set it up right...it's user error and not an issue with the bike

Its great to look at mate. But thats personal taste.

test rode one the other day, yeh screen is really distracting so id get the option screen i guess. main competitor for me is maybe the 1000 mtx, but this has the more proven engine. the elctronic suspension is a big sell for me as we do a lot of pillion riding. I was really surprised how good this bike was.

Prefer a bench seat for touring, lets you move around to reduce fatigue

Great video man. Still can't get on board with these screens. I just think it's overkill. Not to mention a guy I rode with had a rock fly at his BMW and it immediately smashed and whole bike basically fell apart shortly after. 😂😂 Nice to see where the price does trim from, not many places though, still an incredible bang for buck!

£8500 is very competitive for this bike,  and I did look at them but decided to go for a pre-registered interceptor 650 for an amazing £4,500 ( yes the price of some 125s) , I've already toured the southwest of England on it and love it . £8500 bs £4500 🤔

A snatchy throttle on a test ride would probably be enough to stop me buying. Its something that I'd never settle with and would be a permanent nag.  Shame that some manufacturers can't find a solution to the constraints of emission regs but others can.

Hmmm. Have a V-strom 800 RE and now wondering how much I'm missing out on compared to this: the value is impressive considering everything that's included. That throttle jerkiness thing would however be a deal breaker for me, tho. Longer term resale /trade-in value another potential surprise.  I suspect the next gen version of this, released in a few years time would likely have all the niggles ironed out and by then Japanese & European bikes will be completely priced out of the market...

I think the competitors will be very worried! a Chinese bike? (If that's a problem for some). Well Bosch fuel injection and ride electronics, Spanish brakes (by same people who make Brembo), Japanese KYB suspension, and an Austrian designed KTM engine....so, not so Chinese then! In fact the price...is still Chinese, but happy with that!! 😊😊

I traded my 890smt for a 990 duke they both were new and plagued with problems. Traded the Duke for the 800MTX which was a gamble but its gone from my 2nd bike to the one I ride the most . Travelled all over the alps on it and the bike was fantastic. I put the 800mt touring screen on my mtx its so much better

Am I losing it? I checked the service manuals for this and the 1000 version and the valve clearance are every 2000miles....? that's insane.

Stop with the "you can't adjust it while you're moving" bs. What idiot is constantly leaning forward and adjusting a windscreen while moving? Too busy to pull over and do it for 10sec? Wind screens are set it and forget it.

I don't recognise this bike. Is it a new more road focused version of the 800mtx?

No doubt aftermarket will provide a better screen.
