It's really easy to get overwhelmed by a reference photo. I'm sure there have been many times when I scrolled past a photo because my brain said it would be "too hard to paint" when I really could have just simplified it. That's what we're going to focus on today, but we'll also be practicing some of the techniques we've been talking about including wet on wet, wet on dry, lifting, and negative space.

I questioned your shadows as you applied them since you were looking straight down instead of at an angle. But, you nailed it! I love your videos and your teaching style. It gives me hope that maybe I can paint!! I won't stop trying!!
