Saving this Porsche 911 is my next channel mission, it's a 1970 classic air cooled 2.2 T and deserves to be back on the road.... but just how bad is it ?

Bruh, it's almost gone. Sell it to someone who can start working on it ASAP, while there's still something left to it.

You will never get that restored and back on the road. Sell it now to someone who will and plough the cash into a car you are actually working on.

If you're not going to fix it soon, sell it to someone who has the time to take care of it. No need to let it rot further.

We wait a million years for an update on the 911 and still nothing.😁

As a person that starts more projects than he finishes, sir I salute you

The so-called sensor on the new carburetor is a shut-off valve/solenoid of the idle circuit. A wire must be connected to it to supply 12 volts after switching on the ignition. It must click clearly after every time it receives 12 volts (connecting and reconnecting the wire or switching with the ignition switch). The carburetor will work little to not at all if this connection is ignored.

Get the Porsche running. Clean the windows only. Take it to a Porsche swap meet and sell it as a running barn find.

I'd keep it. You bought it, so you get to enjoy it whenever is the right time. It's your car

As the saying goes, more money than sense

Restore it back to tangerine orange, looks cool on the 911, Scott.

Does this guy ever finish anything?

The wiring on this car is terrifying

I’m beside myself with grief right now! This is a worthy candidate for restoration! Like the spaghetti but love the schnitzel!

@Arfur_Foulkesaycke 3 months ago

Yikes, nothing like cranking over an engine that's been sitting around for 10 years. Go for it.

Incase you decide to restore this, it has the wrong dashboard atm. Those center airvents shouldn't be there, that's from a much later model or somebody cut a hole in the dash to stick those in.
