Looks fantastic and like how you dealt with each of the tricky parts and the attention to detail. If doing a square cut rather than mitre I think it would look good alternating each layer (so you see the end grain of each alternate piece).

Smart that. Gunna try tackle it myself in the summer hopefully!!

I used FENCEMATE posts doing my fence. Have a look at them. Metal ‘H’ type post. Same method with the postcrete and holes

Great video, what gauge are the nails?

This is a great tutorial, mate. I have just browsed what other videos you have and if they are all as detailed as this one, this channel will grow to something good!

Quick question, are you using a framing nailer? I am going to be installing a baton fence but I will be using 25mm by 50mm and I am worried my first fix nail gun will too much for the smaller batons. I also think the nails will be a bit of an eye saw considering the size of the batons. Won’t be too bad on this job you are showcasing as the batons are bigger!

I would really appreciate some advice if you have the time, mate. I will just hire a different gauge nail gun if you recommend I use something smaller. My only concern with using a thinner nail is will it last long before it starts to fail! I will go with whatever you advise. I am doing my own head in with this so like I said, you clearly know your stuff so I will go with your suggestion!

Thanks in advance for you help :) 👍🏻

Bro are those posts deep enough? Also aren't you supposed to put some gravel into the hole before the post goes in?
Also doesn't the post need wrapping with postsaver before concreting in?
Not being critical just asking.
Great video.

Is your belt bag big enough

Tidy job. These venetian fences look trendy but will be a total pain to repair when a post eventually breaks.
