Welcome to sunny England! 🇬🇧

You could fly to Spain cheaper than going on the train in the UK.

This is the darkest period in British history-our own government is deliberately trying to destroy this country!!!

The hardest part is the mental load—constantly calculating, comparing, delaying, and hoping nothing breaks.

We were on holiday in the UK in 2024 and I hired a car in Lancashire to take my wife to visit a friend in Bath. I drove there, stayed overnight and returned the following day. It cost £25 per day to hire a new Kia Sportage. I'm not sure how they make a profit!
A week later I caught the train to join her in Bath at a cost of £93. One way.
Unfortunately the car hire place only did back to base hires.
In almost every town we visited 25% of the shops were empty and 50% were charity shops. Even in places like Windsor the rot was visible.Bath was one of the few places we visited which still had an air of dignity.

The moment when you are at a little cafe in a small English town and suddenly everyone starts speaking Russian was pretty hilarious.

It's all about "Divide & Conquer" - creating chaos - All the world's a stage!

Canada has changed too. Same story here, nobody can afford a home, population divided, crumbling infrastructure.

"the battle of Hastings, the last time the UK was successfully invaded"... I beg to differ

The crack down on speech and expression is also troubling.

It seems Dickensian Britain is returning with huge splits in society between rich and the poor homeless.

The privatisation(water firms, energy suppliers and etc. are all in private hands in fact none of them are from the UK, people from abroad owns them) and after that the constant greed of that top 1% maybe even top 5% is just absolutely disgusting... Even the properties/blocks which are getting build in and around London are from investors(the top 1%) and they just pushes the prices even and even more higher so damn high, that if you are in the middle-class in London you are NEVER EVER going to afford A 1 BEDROOM FLAT and if you are trying to rent well... Good luck with that, because with around 30K-35K a year wage is... roughly 50% of your monthly salary is going into the rent itself and then lets not talk about how much the energy prices increased since 2021 and... The water bills is... 47% increase in a year! Absolutely DISGUSTING! I moved to the UK in 2016 and at first i tought i have a future here and i felt like that. Landed a decend job as well and i was living in the outskirts of London in a very very nice area(cant say the same about it now, it become a filthy shthouse recently) it went so much down hill after the Covid and then the Brexit its... I lost my words...

It’s the same situation here in Australia. Housing, cost of living and everything is going up in $. Society is becoming more polarised and our government is filled with narcissistic ineffective leaders who only seek to perpetuate the problems while gaslighting us & telling us what a great country we live in.
My husband and I move to Australia from London 10yrs ago I’m with the hopes of a better future and buying a home, but it hasn’t happened. We miss London and the British people so much. So it’s sad to see that things there are so hard there now too. What is happening with the world?

the kid pushing the other kid!! dying 30:25 😂😂😂😂😂

Sad for all the distant relatives who still reside in Suffolk. I am so glad that I saw Britain as a young kid, I met so many great people, loved the music, the customs, even talked with WWI vets. Modernism had crept in later in the 90’s, but British culture was still celebrated.

That housing problem is exactly the same in the Netherlands. Polarisation as well. 😔

20 years ago, I escaped from 12 years in West London, to The Mediterranean Coast of South Eastern Spain... I can honestly say that I have NOT Regretted a Single Day here....!!

I am Russian leaving in London for 19 years. UK is going down, it is really sad.

Moved to Australia 1981 from East London, been back many times but you couldn't pay me to go back now!

Born and raised in Croydon, SE London. Moved to Florida 30 years ago. Went back to visit Croydon recently. It has become a dirty, viloent hell hole. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
