…..and David why are your pet peeves more important that Allison’s triggers… maybe if she had said that’s my pet peeve instead of trigger … would that be more palliative to you David?

I love that Janelle FINALLY called out Kody's pattern of escaping the label of being the divorce initiator by severely neglecting a wife until SHE asks for a divorce.

I don’t care if it’s not appropriate…Kody fully earned that Eff You 😂

Cody lunging aggressively with voice raised and finger in her face her face gives Janelle every right to give in to her anger to be heard

Lets be honest, Kody does not want any relationship but Robyn, Janelle said, and I think it was this episode, "Kody doesn't want to take the responsibility for ending these marriages so instead he uses excuses and treats them badly until they say enough and leave." This is it, nail on the head.

When Janelle Shouted the F word to Kody - I feel it was her FINALLY standing up to him and it was powerful in that he must have been shocked, but it was her FULL STOP on this marriage.  Go Janelle!!

I agree that it’s not okay to tell a spouse to go F themselves, but MAN it felt good to see Janelle say it to Kody. 😂

Kody has all these rules for Covid, yet he goes to a wedding and dances with many people and no mask! Rules apply to everyone but him!

As the child of an ex Mormon I can tell, that letting a woman best him, or take control of a situation is the biggest humiliation for a man in Mormonism....he is mad because his ego took a hit and it was in a public way in front of his big tough guys dudes....his anger is not from sadness it is his ego took a hit. He was embarrassed in front of the world.

I feel like as a therapist this would have been a great time to discuss reactive abuse. I feel that Janelle is finally seeing the depths of the abuse that she has endured over her marriage with Kody and she is angry now that she is clearly being discarded by him.

Robyn got more than all of the OG wives- nanny, separate house from the start, dating for a whole weekend (when the wives only got one night a week), the biggest wedding, the dress chosen by the groom, longest honeymoon, farthest honeymoon, and the most parental attention by the husband of a plural marriage.

Janelle has years worth of frustration that she has not been able to get out. She has finally found the strength to fight back, and yes  saying FY is coming from a deep place in her. I think this is the actual point where she finally sees it’s over.

He accused Janelle of lying a couple times in this episode.  When she told him to call the kids, his response was only that he is open to communication with them.  When Meri asked if he had reached out, he said he did.  That was a lie and he knows it.  He also lied when Janelle said he hadn't been around for 4 or 5 months and said that wasn't true.  There was an episode where his sons were with him on the property and Gabe said they hadn't seen him in 9 months.  So ya, Janelle was off on the amount of time, but she wasn't lying when she said he had been absent.   If I were Janelle I would have told him to F off long ago.  Those ridiculous covid rules were a bunch of bs anyway.  He used them as an  excuse to not go to his daughters surgery.  He used them as a reason why nobody could come to the house or him not going to the other houses.   Yet he went to his best freinds wedding.  He is an a-hole..

Kody did the exact same thing the psychologist is describing as gaslighting

He certainly didn't say he wanted to be around the people he loves.  It was, as always, about being with the people who love HIM.

He would rather be Mr. Right than reach out to his family members he is at odds with.  He also plays "move the goal post" when he's with Janelle.

This episode totally validates the kids feelings that Robyn is also part of them distancing from the family. Saying that would be “scary”, saying “Do u want them around because u struggled last Christmas with everyone around” & then in confessional says “they need to have a conversation first”. I’m sure he got that from you Robyn 🙄 They both are master manipulators.

Kody should have hosted Christmas and texted everyone the time and place. Period. That’s what the leader of the family does. And Mari should have been able to do the same with the kids. Hey Everyone! come for pajama party Christmas Eve at my house at 6! What’s the big deal? EGO. And no conflict resolution skills.

He’s not gaslighting, he is scapegoating.

Robyn is Wormtongue from LOTR. Her manipulation is naked. She basically made sure that he does not invite his other kids at Christmas. I wish Janelle had simply said, “if you want a relationship with your kids, call them. It has nothing to do with me.”
