That "assuming perfect RNG" is pulling quintuple duty for this video.

I had this game on my list, so my plan was to do what I always do on this situations: let the video play in mute, save it in a playlist and whatch it on the future...

One extra step missed in this video: When getting the Key of Aries, you also need to have the cross constellation active. This requires 5 stars, and the key is obtained here on day 4. That means only 4 stars from drafting the observatory normally, so you'll need at least one more star somehow. This means that at some point up to now you'll have to also end the day in the Planetarium, do a  lab experiment to add a star, or use the Chamber of Mirrors to draft more than one Observatory

Someone should make a "perfect RNG" mod to prove this is possible

The game sounds very cool but even just watching people play hurts my head so imma leave it to the experts for now

Oh, the cursed coffers are only available if you’ve gotten cursed or read the curse of blackbridge, so you can’t do it on day 2 simce it takes 3 days to read the book in the library and you haven’t drafted the shrine yet.

This is great, but it does beg the question... what are the odds of getting this perfect run

2:40 POV you hear about Outer Wilds

Bookshop won't show up until 5 libraries have been drafted. Can't get cursed coffer without being cursed or reading Curse of Blackbridge. Therefore you can't buy coffer before day 2 assuming you wasted day 1 on shrine, which isn't in your plans.

I guess with perfect RNG you can get 3 libraries using reading nook, but it's still not trivial to include. (It's not affected by CoM, so one legit and 2 from nooks are max.)

Also to remove the crates from the tunnel, you also need to light up the torches in the tunnel. Remember to do that while you're burning the sundial etc.

11:00 the lockpick can never give infinite keys because the chance of it working goes down by a large amount with each success, until it eventually reaches zero. It's done like that to balance out the "increase lockpicking skill" so that you can never make the lockpick broken by spamming it out.

Blue Prince is an absolute masterpiece

I would love to see this done in a modded version of the game that can force the perfect RNG needed to make this possible

I'd say I wouldn't call Blue Prince my favorite game of that year, but at the same time, watching the video easily got me a bit misty eyed and nostalgic for the days of playing the demo, immensely enjoying it, buying it at launch, and then spending dozens of hours playing it on the couch with my partner, trading off on in-game days and making hand-written notes on a tablet as we tried to reach our end of the never-endining.


Again, fantastic video about a fantastic game, and it was great to have your passion for it so clearly shine through.

And you probably know this, but for everyone's reference, if you ignore all achievements, you can get the 5 major objectives, with perfect RNG, on day 6. But that only gives you 2 of the outer rooms drafted, Shrine and Trading Post, so it's still 6 more days to draft the other 6 outer rooms, matching your 12 day setup.

And a couple of interesting and useful "technical" facts:
1. The Music Room sanctum key doesn't require rank 8 by any means, in fact rank 9 is the most reliable option, but also drafting 37+ rooms and/or waiting until after 7:05PM in game time.
2. Running shoes are not RNG based with free steps, they are based on the distance you travel from the previous free step trigger, so that's why outdoor areas trigger so frequently because the distance is so far. But if you walked back and forth between 2 rooms with the shoes, it will NEVER trigger.
