Man, I needed this so much.  Life is kicking me in the balls and this is making me smile for the first time in 3 days.  Much appreciated homie.

I also graduated in 92.

I believe the cavalry still has that classic uniform for ceremonies, so Wild Bill isn't too outlandish

I’m absolutely not ragging your sponsor because good for you. That’s one of the best ways to actually make some money with YT at this point, but I can’t help but laugh that you’re sponsoring AI, and this is your only video I’ve watched that has visual hiccups. 😂

It's always interesting to watch folks a few years older than me talk about later era G.I. Joe and actually sort of refreshing to see someone who doesn't flat out hate the line at this point. '91-'93 was at the height of collecting for me at the time and I absolutely loved a lot of this stuff.  My eight to ten year old ass used the hell out of the missiles too.  Firing off a round of missiles often determined the story I'd tell.

This entire wave is like the CEO had a color blind nephew placed in charge of coloring...

I REALLY enjoy these vids! Always wanted to hear other people’s thoughts on these different lines/waves of GI Joe as adults

Born in Nov. '84, I had a lot of these characters when I was young.

- I had my bag of Joe's that would grow and grow, I think at the end I had over 30 maybe 40 or so. Weapons would get lost. That little rubber band would break and the Joe's would be broken, that was tough, especially when they were a favorite character. Thumbs would break, That too was heartbreaking as they were practically deformed and couldn't hold weapons anymore, at least on their own.  I had vehicles too. And the Joe's could interchange with other vehicles as well from different toy brands, That was cool. Different Trucks and Cars.  I also had the General, The Headquarters, those were fun sets. The Airplane was cool, Cutter's Boat was a lot of fun.  The amount of weapons was crazy ! Backpacks, Dogs too I had a lot of those.

What I remember most was playing different stories other than GI Joe based. I would watch Batman and Boom instantly I'd pick a character and attach a Batman cape and I had my own Batman story that I could swap an unmasked character as the Bruce Wayne portion of when I was playing. Other movies too. Robocop, Cowboy Movies, Action Movies of that era. I could literally play out any movie I saw in the theaters and recreate it best I could using the Joe's as main characters. Even Jurassic Park ! I used the Dino Head drink bottles from Universal Studios as the Dinos. The T Rex head was well close enough to be a T Rex in my Park.

Playing all those years ago I think definitely helped my imagination at the time. Also playing with younger cousins as well. We'd add their toys and my "Other" bag of the larger 6 inch toys and it was well over a hundred characters always having a war/battle. Something of the like. Fun as hell. Hours and hours of playing until all were dead and few were left and then it was time for a snack or dinner, Or sometimes we'd need another 10, 15, 20 mins to wrap up our battle, Or sometimes take a break and come back after to finish. Of course parents would say after dinner be fast and we'd battle quickly before bedtime.

Total blast from the past video. Again, I had a lot of these characters that my Mom would choose for me. For Birthdays and Christmas. And the few I'd get maybe at Easter to add to the collection.

I have my own son now. He's 3 1/2 and I think about it if I still had my collection for him. (At 17 or so I gifted my bag of 6 inch toys to my younger cousin, but Mom gave the Joe's bag as well thinking I had said both! I had not, I would have never given up the Joe's. But I wasn't too mad about it as I wouldn't have played with them anymore anyway) And with my young son now, The fun is in collecting a batch for him. Where he picks what characters he likes and creating a bag and having fun playing with him.

Lots of memories. Love the video. Thanks.

Honestly, I loved Headman & especially the Headhunter figs, I hope Classified makes it far enough for us to see new versions of 'em.

Dojo was the last GI Joe figure i ever got during the original run.  For that reason only i have a soft spot for him.

Maybe I am dating myself here but all the of the line, other than the mail order joes all of the  90’s line of joes were awesome. As a kid I always got ones with shooting weapons because they rock.

Road Pig would have to be the size of Nemesis Enforcer to carry that backpack.

i would love zap v2 and overkill in classified

I remember these figs being littered all over thirft stores in the early 2000s.Civil War Wild Bill is awesome

I got into G.I. Joe right about when Transformers was coming to their end, and 92 was basically the heart of my Joe fandom so I for one have fond memories of a year that other collectors look at with dubious expressions.

Burp gun is a thing, Russians had an SMG in WWII, commonly known as a burpgun, looked a bit like a Tommy gun

32:00 Barricade is just RoboCop + Captain Power..

Obviously 300% awesome.

i had everyone on this list except, slice, dice, headman, and the toxic vipers

I've always loved the old movie serials from the 40's & 50's so I was really excited to have a pinstripe suited, fedora wearing bad guy in the form of Headman regardless of him being a drug dealer! Here's hoping Classified gives us a new 6" version!

10:02 the sweatband makes him look like a Benedictine Monk.
