Would love to see you do Left Brain, Right Brain from Bo

He's from just outside Boston, private Catholic school, both parents. 😆

You should definitely check his song repeat stuff

“Kanye Rant”, “All Eyes On Me” and “Five Years” are all Bo songs definitely worth checking out. 👍🔥

Instrument that’s double reeded. Bars.

Oh Bo play that oboe is my favorite part 😂

Your reactions to Bo is great. Not a rap but checkout the music video (not the live version) of Repeat stuff if you want to see him take shots at the mainstream pop industry. 👍
Also Rant (live) is a nice rap to check out.

Bro, that pop goes the weasel line on the middle of a bit about nutting, in a song mocking hip hop is peak. That's what the song pop goes the weasel was...well, it was mostly about a specific artist...so many layers.

It's funny coming back to this after seeing "Problematic," because in that Bo calls himself out for this stuff. Amazing what a decade of perspective will give you.

What’s funny—and so refreshing—about this entire thing is watching someone truly discover Bo for the first time, while knowing that the talented woman in the pink bikini, Lauren Francesca, was already a well-known sketch comedy player all over YouTube.

This is just the beginning of the rabbit hole, as it were. Once you start digging into Bo’s work, you realize just how deep the layers go. Welcome to the journey!

Him saying "I got the runs" while doing a crazy autotune run with his voice got me crackin up 😆

This was the comedy of 2010. Its fine and needed to look back and see how stuff changed. Watch his "High school party", he is very middle class east coast white. The irony kills.

Watching you reacts to early Bo is a whole vibe and I love it

Loving the Bo reactions, Keep em coming!!!

Cheers

I think you'll enjoy Bo's newer stuff more just because his material is more mature, obviously. That said, keep going through the old stuff and work your way through it. The experience is so much better. Thanks for these videos!

He's from outside of Boston. Dad owned a construction co., Mom was a nurse Got a nurse gig at a private Catholic school, which got her youngest son a private high school education as a perk. He used to write bawdy funny songs. Was a theater kid. One day in 2006, he sent a song to his brother, whom was in college, on YT, which was less than a year old. His brother shared it, that person posted it on a bigger site, where the video got 1 MILLION views in 72 hours.

The song was "My Whole Family", his first hit. He was 16.
Comedy Central gave😮 him a 30 minute show. He was 17. As the youngest ever signed on contract, he hit tge ground running, doing the grind until he was 25. Panic attacks and exhaustion made him take that break, to practice self care.

He was one of the OGs of YT. He's forged paths, and is beloved to his fans, who are all ages, especially after INSIDE. He is our dark humor lens and mirror.

Kanye Rant is the finale of the last show that he has ever performed live. He was literally having a panic attack while performing it. He taped it at three live shows. Had an attack at roughly the same time in each one. Chose to use one full take, choosing to express his authentic emotional response for his audience. This was the last time he has performed a show for a live audience. He walked away from live performing.

Wrote and directed Eighth Grade. Starred in other movies and shows. Got the help he needed. Got ready to make another live show. COVID hit. So he shifted gears. Learned how to create a one man show with the help of YT DIYs, Google, online classes.
INSIDE was the result.
Followed by INSIDE:OUTTAKES.

I am a 63yo grandmother of 3. Yet i have had anxiety issues, been that awkward nerd trying to fit in. That kid who was bullied.

NERDS brings me to tears every time: one for the music reactions, as it is not funny, but deep and strong. And everyone has experienced Friday Night.
Just a few examples.

We are such devoted fans bc his songs, his lyrics, reflect us at moments in our lives. Right now, the song that reflects me is The Chicken...another music reaction channel.
But most songs, more than a few, poke hard at the Industry as an entity.
Pandering,
Repeat Stuff, Channel 5 News, RANT, (not the kanye one)
EFF
are just a few.

We were there then for the same reason we are here now. For the silly, clever, deep or poignant lyrics. For the mad bars and even madder concepts. Like We Think We Know You and Left Brain, Right Brain.

So much more material to cover!

Off of INSIDE:
Comedy,
Sexting,
Problematic,
Welcome to the Internet,
That Funny Feeling (OR you can react to the only cover version, performed by Phoebe Bridgers that is Bo approved)
Or All Eyes On Me, which is ìntense

On OUTTAKES:
WTFIGO,
1985,
FIVE YEARS,
Microwave Popcorn,
and, of course
The Chicken.

AND NOW
We get the pleasure of watching you react to Bo❤️‍🔥

Thank You!

I literally thought bi-curious, when you said curious. Then, you qualified that you were not. And I laughed out loud. Too funny.

Yes, please keep Bo reactions coming! He is deep well of content, especially his older content which is much more questionable but definitely shows his intellect.

Always love me some Bo Burnham
