I saw a younger man not giving up on an older man after the competition- teaching him a lesson on grace and humility.

I can totally understand not wanting to shake your opponents hand immediately after a BIG loss but to suggest you are going to shake hands and then pull away is nothing short of childish and poor character; your true self is shown in loss.

Mikey is such a good person he doesn’t want his opponent to leave upset no matter what happened. RESPECT 💪🏾

Mikey is such a class act.  Much needed professionalism and heart for the BJJ culture and lots of years ahead to transform it for the good.

you have to shake Mikey's hand , he seems like such a genuine guy.

Man, I remember being on no sleep after my bros bachelor party, getting on a bus at 6 am from San Diego to Long Beach to watch this...it was worth it!

Nunca vi alguém merecer tanto a derrota, como o Bruno nesta luta.

Mikey came out on top in more ways than one here.

Bruno is salty

Showing a true lack of class and respect that seems to be rampant now.

Bruno lost twice in my opinion

Fantastic match of pure skill. Bruno plays the rules for points and waits it out to re-sweep getting ankle grips early and waiting until the other guy is on top so I'm not sure what people are mad about with Mikey "stalling", they both play to the rules of the event and have the skill to do so.
I've watched some recently posted IBJJF clips of Marcelo and other greats back in the 2000s after a loss: shake hands or hug if you want, move on. Bruno has so much experience at the absolute highest level and still no class after losing to a new generation. It's a shame but I hope he can develop emotionally.

🗣Musumeci has gained another fan!🙋🏻‍♂️

Mikey's tactic was really good. He is completely aware on what's happening on the scoreboard and utilized it. Sacrificed a penalty for the win.

:face-red-heart-shape:
