Come on guys, they don’t believe for a second that they actually have incontrovertible evidence. They just believe they are too big to fail. They are counting on having deeper pockets and being willing to fight everything so the damage done to the game/prem outweighs the determination of clubs to hold them to account.

Very clear now that this has been their strategy for a while.

No way the owners can remain.

And the idea that they could do 1 season in the championship and then get right back to it would be an absolute scandal.

The owners have to be forced to go for the fraud and dishonesty.

People suggesting relegation is absolute madness. It has to be much more severe than that. They’ve systematically cheated, lied about it and refused to co operate. The owners must be forced to sell. The club should be in non league football and have to start again. The last 17 years of the premier league has a HUGE asterisk next to it now. The butterfly effect of their actions on others is almost inconceivable! The legal claims will be fascinating.

Imagine they go to the championship and come back up in a year…17 years of cheating (yes, 17. Everything they’ve built has been built on the foundation of cheating. You really think they’d also cheat for 9 years then stop…?). The punishment has to stop anyone doing this ever again! Get them gone.

The current owners are clearly not "fit and proper ".
They should not be allowed to continue their ownership.

Need to ban the owners, they have irreparably damaged the league.

And, there needs to be a means of sanction that ensures city don't just pay their way out and get back to glory.

Enforced sale, 70 point deduction now and 30 points for the next 5 consecutive seasons, 1 billion compensation pool, all trophies "won" to be null and voided, these measures are "MINIMUM" they have to be hit massively!

When the FIA was placed in a similar position after Spygate in 2009. A fine of £100m was placed on Maclaren with forced change of ownership. The 'bad apple' was thrown as far away from the basket as possible. There has to be a massive fine, a change of ownership, and relegation to League 2 or the Conference. It is the only way that EPL can preserve its brand. Anything else will damage the brand.

City’s continued brazen defiance suggests to me that they believe a favorable political outcome is in the offing. While I am encouraged that the tribunal seems to have followed the evidence toward a just verdict, (the more difficult path than letting City off), I’m not convinced that City won’t find a way to corrupt the process.

Everton had to pay 35m for 1 rule break, City by same logic is 100 x 35m = 3.5b + Tax, Plus 400-800m fine = Bankruptcy

Owners need to go. How can the other EPL clubs possibly accept their continuance as City owners? In any case, their reputation is mud, the reputational damage to themselves and the club is enormous. They'll be known the world over as cheats. The sportswashing project has turned a nasty shade of shit. The smell odorous. And by extension the EPL's reputation has been destroyed, the product perhaps irretrievably damaged. And if City decide to fight this as they have up until now, fighting this process every step of the way, and being dragged through the courts by their rivals and maybe players and betting companies (who always have their eye on an extra few quid), then this could just be the start of something that destroys everything.

Subject to the publication of the judicial findings, criminal prosecutions could follow for conspiracy to defraud through false representation, and possibly false accounting, without need for a complaint.

If these offences don't warrant expulsion from the league then why bother having that sanction on the books? Also if City aren't expelled then the league will have no credibility. It would be like the tour de France letting Lance Armstrong back in.
