These songs help the grieving process. You are not alone. You will hear your father's voice. He is with you .

Your reaction was authentic and beautiful. Don’t apologize for having a heart!!

That's is James Blunt Father in the video who was suffering from stage 4 chronic kidney disease. His Father had been a kidney donor already. After the release of the song a distant cousin came forward and was a match so his Father is still alive and doing well

This really hits home with me. I also have stage 4 chronic kidney failure. I pray that my son feels this way about me.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad when I was 20, almost 40 years ago. That was also quite sudden. I used to cry regularly for about 5 years after he died. What helped me get over it, was realising through conversation with friends, that not everybody is lucky enough to have had a good Dad. I started to feel grateful for being so lucky, and afterwards when I thought about my Dad, it made me smile instead of making me feel sad, because I had all those wonderful memories. I hope you are able to find something in your memories of your Dad to help bring you peace.

Please, there is no need to apologize. This is an emotionally powerful song. I'm sorry for the loss of your father. I lost mine 36 years ago and I still think of him every day. Time will soften the pain, but carry the love he felt for you and your family, and don't dwell on that final day. Many blessings to you and your family.

Please - never apologize for showing true, raw emotion on your channel. It was very brave of you to post this reaction, and I 100% feel your pain and can empathize directly. Sending love your way...

I think no one can resist those lyrics, even if their fathers are okay. My father is okay, but I am crying .

Most of us go through life never considering the end of days of our dads. My dad was a monster and still I wish I had a few more moments to tell him "It's ok. I know your mistakes and you know mine. Right here, right now we are just two grown men saying good by." I would possibly find some forgiveness for him so that he could perhaps have a few moments pf peace. I got help, I found my humanity. He never did. It is important for you to express your sadness, as uncomfortable as it is, to let it out. If you don't it will eat you alive. Thanks for being vulnerable and showing the depths of your love for your dad.

His dad is the definition of old English stoicism in this video. Glad he's still alive.

Your reaction touched me and had me a 30 yr old man in tears, I lost my dad 28th November 2021 and its coming to 3 years and honestly this song is a kind of therapy I'm not one to show emotion I was brought up like James big boys don't cry and to tell you the truth I didn't cry properly until after and this song was what caused me to basically weep. Never apologize for showing emotion, I'm so sorry about your dad as well, until people experience losing a parent, they'll never know how it feels, your dad will be so proud of you and will be there with you.

I held my dads hand as he passed. It's something I will never forget. I am glad I was there. To chase the monsters away.

I’m So Sorry you lost your father…I lost both of my parents, so I know how painful it is. James Blunt did two other songs that are from personal experiences that are beautifully done, but you’ll want to see the official music video to get the full experience of the songs. The first is called “The Girl Who Never Was” and the second is called “Carry You Home”! Both of these are Very relatable to so many people around the world! ❤

I'm sorry you lost your Dad so young. I was fortunate to have both my parents until I was in my 50s but they are both gone now. There will always be a hole in my heart, they were the the most loving supportive parents I could have asked for.
