The sad part is that he's not the son of disloyal fathers. Every Death Korps Guardsman is the descendant of those who remained loyal to the Imperium and spent five hundred years fighting to take back their world from the actual traitors.

Lexlund the unforgiven sounds a good name for a living saint of krieg

Breaking news: Kriegman Saint reported to be ultra depressed after not being able to die for his God Emperor

Blessed be the Krieger who survives the charge as he gets another chance at redemption.

I demand a new book called "unending duty" about a perpetual Kriegsman who views being a perpetual as the emperor cursing him for the sins of Krieg

I want five books about this guy.

I love to imagine being a random guardsmenwatching this Kriegsmen 1v20 a Terminid pack and just getting up afterwards going. "Aw dang it still alive" then walking off to Emperor knows where

I love how this more human side of Krieg is being explored more by both fans and official authors from GW

I can see a future where he ironically unofficially became a krige saint that all krigesmen will flock too like orks for where he march to combat is a guaranteed the most difficult of tasks and their moral will be unusually higher if his in their regiment

While he is confused why his brothers worship him like a high lord

Oh, the symbolism is very similar to how Saint Celestine always resurrect herself.

There is this story about a planet under siege by chaos, nurgle corrupts everything, slaneesh rots the population's hearts, korne rules the land and tzentch controls almost all the world....but there is a place where the fallen gods dare not enter.
A graveyard,a Krieg one.
And the Gravekeeper gives the chaos cultists and their demon overlords the chills...he helps the guards hold the line and recover the city first and then the entire planet, and when everyone looks after him to thank him for his efforts he's nowhere to be found.
Only rows of unamed loyals buried in the ground know the one that was choosen to continue with their fight.
For the Emperor.

This short reminds me of one of the more heartbreaking lines in the original Ballad of Gav and Bob:

"We weren't sad because he was gone.  We were sad because we were left behind."

Beautiful imagery and I love the concept of a Kriegsman Saint.

Damn this Krieger got around. Cadian, Catachans and others. Must be one hell of a fighter. Hopefully he'll serve with my regiment eventually. Preferably before I kark it.

He may never know peace, but maybe those he fights for will. Let that be his forgiveness.

Kurt: And this here is why I thank the Emperor every day that I have a Battle Sister GF. Makes the universe a LOT better.

Most chill Kriegsman.

I've personally also wondered of what a Living Saint Krieg Guardsmen would be like before watching this 🤔

little does the krieger know his god has already forgiven him long ago for despite his sin being titantic his courrage blots it out like that of the moon and the sun

Kriegsman who can't die cannot repent.
To not repent is to not fulfill his duty.
The immortality coming from the Imperator must feel humiliating, for the God himself says that his penace was not great enough to grant him the mercy of death.

Kriegsmen love the deepest amoungst the human species,
yet as they do not understand this emotion,
when received they perceive it as abuse.
